ROV Project Manager - i-Tech
A challenging position has arisen for a ROV Project Manager to oversee the project execution and client liaison for a number of projects and clients within our Europe and Africa Region. This position will afford candidates the responsibility for the day to day running and management of their own dedicated projects. The role is varied and challenging and candidates will be responsible for not only the offshore operations of the project but liaising with onshore support services for the projects. The overall success of the project in terms of client satisfaction, safety, financial and commercially is down to the job holder, therefore candidates should enjoy responsibility and thrive within a fast paced and challenging environment. The position directly reports into to the Operations Manager and key duties and responsibilities will include the following:- MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Providing an efficient service to all our clients and ensuring adherence to the company's HSEQ standards.
- Maintaining regular contact and good working relationships with the clients, operating staff and third parties who contribute to the successful operation and timely completion of your assigned projects.
- Providing support to offshore / onshore projects and also overseas locations when called upon to do so, and participating in the on-call rota.
- Ensuring that any legal / contractual requirements / problems relating to projects are understood by the relevant staff involved in the project and followed through to a satisfactory conclusion.
- Ensuring that the relevant materials are available and that the necessary plant, personnel and documentation have been requested to allow satisfactory completion of the project.
- Ensuring that all documentation used during or resulting from the projects are controlled in accordance with company's quality procedures and in house business management system
- Ensuring that the final product and service expectations is representative of the client's specification and meets with all relevant contractual, legal and quality requirements.
- Overall responsibility for the financial performance of assigned projects including cost control and invoicing processes along with controlling of expenditure on projects and preparing and maintaining commercial revenue analysis reports.
Approving the supply of equipment for system mobilisation and ensuring that all certification etc is in order and equipment is in a serviceable condition
Presentation Presents self in a professional manner and in a manner which is representative of the Company. Candidates should also have a desire to provide exceptional customer service both internally and externally to the Company.
Skills Should be able to demonstrate an advanced level of business based communication skills which are mindful and respectful of all project and client based personnel.
Well developed communication skills which empower other project based personnel to achieve the realisation of project goals. Must produce work of a presentable standard to Line Manager and Client, which is accurate, paying particular attention to contractual and financial details of project.
The position will require candidates to interact with people at various levels within the organisation and externally with client representatives in the execution of project activities. It is therefore essential that candidates be in possession of excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and leadership skills.
A good understanding and comprehensive working knowledge of offshore ROV operations is essential for the role.
The position calls for a self motivated individual who has the adaptability to work effectively as part of team and as an individual.
Proven organisational skills and the ability to review work methods in support of continually developing smart and efficient work methods.
Qualifications and Education Job role typically requires an undergraduate degree in an engineering discipline; however candidates in possession of other qualifications coupled with relevant experience within the ROV industry maybe considered.
No specific qualifications, however candidates who have above technical qualification along with experience / qualifications in project management would be advantageous.
Candidates should demonstrate or have a willingness keep themselves up to date with the latest ROV technology and developments.
Experience Candidates should be able to demonstrate relevant work experience within the ROV industry and be in familiar with the most up-to-date ROV technology, equipment and resources.
A good understanding and comprehensive working knowledge of offshore ROV operations is essential for the role.
Proven ability to multitask and ensure effective delivery of priorities to meet project demands. Candidates should also be able to work without direct supervision and to solve problems using own initiative.
Specific Job Related Requirements Candidate is required to present a professional appearance to clients and peers. Ability to demonstrate good leadership qualities in the directing of project based personnel.
The position is office based therefore no manual handling issues are envisaged, however candidates will be required to attend offshore based work sites, whereby the working conditions will be more of an industrial environment.
The position is onshore based position within an office environment. However, candidates will be required to visit client’s onshore premises on a regular basis as part of project meetings. Short ad-hoc offshore site visits will be required to project locations within the Europe & Africa geographical area.
Must be physically fit for the required position subject to reasonable adjustments. Position will also require candidate to satisfy UKOOA offshore medical and survival.
