Senior Proposals Specialist (i-Tech)
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preliminary review of enquiry or invitation to tender (ITT) document. Thereafter actively participate in decision making process regarding a bid/no bid decision. Advise clients of bid/no bid decision.
- Upon bid decision produce Tender Summary sheet and ensure relevant sections of ITT are distributed internally to appropriate departments and externally (to subcontractors) in conjunction with the assigned Proposals Coordinator.
- Schedule briefing sessions with tender pursuit team and identify responsibilities and key dates. Collaborate with the tender pursuit team throughout the tender process.
- Prepare tender estimate and produce business risk assessment.
- Review and clarify responses received from internal support departments (legal, tax, technical etc) and insert qualifications into bid document. Evaluate and clarify subcontractor responses where appropriate.
- Coordinate clarification responses during bid evaluation process. Prepare and attend any bid clarification meetings. Arrange de-brief from client where applicable upon contract award and forward feedback to tender pursuit team.
- Review contract document in conjunction with i-Tech legal group department and liaise with the client to implement any required amendments. Schedule contract handover with appropriate personnel ensuring all personnel gain an understanding of the project requirements.

Should be able to demonstrate an advanced level of business based communication skills which are mindful and respectful of personnel at all levels throughout the organisation.
Well developed communication skills Must produce work of a presentable standard to Line Manager which is accurate.
Skills
The position will require candidates to interact with people at various levels within the organisation and externally. The candidate shall work well within a team environment.
Candidates should have proven experience in a tender/proposals role with a sound knowledge of how to commercially review and qualify contracts. Candidates should also have a sound understanding of the large component parts of an ROV system and how they go together.
Ability to work on own initiative and demonstrate a pro-active approach to the role.
Well developed communication and negotiation skills.
Qualifications and Education
Job role typically requires an appropriate level of education. Candidates who are in possession of relevant work experience in a similar role.
Candidates should be degree qualified (ideally in Quantity Surveying, Business Management, Marketing, Law & Management or similar).
Consideration will also be given to candidates with extensive work experience with HNC/HND qualifications in associated background.
Experience
Candidates should be able to demonstrate relevant work experience within a similar role. Candidates should have proven experience in a tender/proposals role with a sound knowledge of how to commercially review and qualify contracts.
Well developed skills in the application of Microsoft Office Software, in particular Excel.
Ideally the candidates will have a basic ROV background.
Proven ability to multitask and ensure effective delivery of priorities to meet operational demands. Candidates should also be able to work without direct supervision and to solve problems using own initiative.

The position is onshore based position within an office environment. However, candidates maybe required to undertake some travel
