Business Development Manager – Life of Field Services
Subsea 7 is refocusing on the development of its Life of Field Services.
Life of Field Services Organisation Following a review of our current business lines the company has decided that we should increase the focus on and develop the client Operational Expenditure, or "OPEX" side of our subsea services business. To support this focus we have established a new business division to be known as Life of Field Services (LoFS). Life of Field Services is the work that we do once a field has started production and can be categorised as follows;
- - Integrity management , the technical assurance of subsea assets
- - Inspection, Repair, Maintenance
- - Intervention tasks
- - Incremental field development
As part of our overall business strategy we have a need to grow our Life of Field business significantly. A key factor in achieving this will be the quality of our Business Development Managers. We need people who can communicate intelligently and enthusiastically about our offerings as well as listen to what our clients are saying and identify what they need.
The function is to support the development of the Life of Field Services business regionally and globally by creating relationships with clients, appraising clients of Subsea 7 products and offerings, acquiring market intelligence including clients needs and feeding this back to the LoFS team.
The key responsibility for this position is to secure profitable new LoFS backlog for our regional businesses. DUTIES:
Facilitate and support the Regions and i-Tech in establishing and tracking LoFS strategies. - Establish and maintain database of business opportunities, including leads and bids
- Establish and maintain LoFS contract database
- Establish and manage business pursuit plans
- Develop and maintain sales material
- Meet with clients and present sales material, create and follow through on CCRs
- Liaise closely with Regions and i-Tech to ensure that LoFS sales is integrated locally to leverage those local resources and is aligned .
- Maintain a global data base of commercial knowledge , both costs and sales
- Be ready to support the Regions and i-Tech with appropriate standard contract documentation
- Ensure that LoFS Division resources are provided as support for pursuing, bidding and winning new work.
- Provide support in reviewing and approval of bids .
- Where required and appropriate take on bidding work for Regions and i-Tech
- Track LoFS success in growing the business

Qualifications and Education Specified Qualifications for position:
Technical qualification preferred.
Continuing Professional Development:
Can articulate learning and training experiences.
Experience General:
Must be able to pick up and develop an existing client relationship base as well as develop new ones.
Technical:
Background in IRM or similar area of offshore work.
Self Managerial:
Needs to be able to work independently, especially whilst travelling
