BD Manager, Africa Region
The Africa region of Subsea7 are looking to recruit a BD Manager to support it's ongoing Business. This role will be based in our office in Sutton, London, but with a large volume of international travel.The main duties of this role will involve;
- Establish, develop and maintain optimum Client relationships across full market base including sourcing of new clients.
- Plan, organise, manage and continuously improve the Sales and Marketing process for the region
.Work with the Regional BA Manager to ensure that all BA/BD Processes and Procedures are implemented.
- Assist in the development and ongoing management of the strategic business plan for the region
- Liaison with other regional department managers in pursuit of business objectives
- Liaison with other BD Manager on cross business unit opportunities
- Provide strategic direction, leadership, supervision and mentoring to the regional Client Account Managers and County Managers with regard to Sales & Marketing.
- Co-ordination of existing technical knowledge in the company to support and maximise our marketing & business development in the pursuit of new business.
- Manage the pursuit of future business with emphasis to the overall commercial solution. This includes supporting proposals development and contract negotiation .
- Functionally responsible for budgets and expenses for the regional BD group
- Ensure the adherence to internal / external audit and work of the department is performed in accordance with the Business Management System (BMS)
- Receive functional guidance and advice from the Regional VP and Global BD Manager
- Provide business planning and reporting assistance to Regional VP and Global BD Manager
- Management of Performance Appraisal for the department, direct reports and participation on an individual basis, and other duties as directed by Regional VP and Global BD Manager.
- Must have an understanding of the African market and be willing to travel throughout the region independently.

Qualifications and Education • Degree qualified (ideally in Business Management, Sales & Marketing, or similar
• Consideration will be given to extensive work experience with HNC/HND qualifications in associated background
Experience General:
Must be able to pick up and develop an existing client relationship base as well as develop new ones.
Technical:
Background Subsea experience covering Construction/ Engineering and IRM.
Specific Job Related Requirements Location Mobility:
Based in Sutton but must be willing to travel extensively throughout Africa, Europe and America.
