Associate Accountant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate Accountant to join the Global Finance & Tax team.  Based in our Westhill office, the position offers a diverse and challenging role, with good prospects for progression. The group would encourage studying towards a professional qualification, e.g. CIMA/ACCA and would provide study support. The main responsibilities of this role are:   Working with the global treasury manager and regional treasury contacts to ensure timely and accurate creation of short and long term group cash flow forecasts. Controlling company cash balances and banking requirements, maintaining records of all cash / bank transactions and undertaking credit checks and review of accounts receivable balances. Liaising with banks on all operational banking matters. Preparing monthly bank reconciliations and investigating reconciling items. Responsible for the retention and, where applicable, sign-off of bank statements, trading confirmations and correspondence. Ensuring all payments are properly approved and supported by appropriate documentary evidence. Providing reconciliation and analysis of balance sheet accounts and analysis of financial statements. Assistance in the production and review of the group's financial statements. Working with SAP and Hyperion consolidation package Education to at least higher grade and/or commenced training as part qualified accountant. Experience of similar work environment would be useful. Microsoft Excel experience would be advantageous SAP knowledge useful but not essential.
