OVERVIEW OF ROLE

 

The job holder should have knowledge and training related to installation analysis of rigid pipelines, flexible pipelines, umbilicals, risers and subsea structures.

 

SPECIFIC KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES 

 

Perform subsea installation engineering analysis mainly related to rigid and flexible pipeline installation techniques, subsea structures lift and deployment to seabed including but not limited to:

  • analysis for the different activities of the pipeline installation
  • Pipeline behaviour during installation activities, strength analysis and fatigue analysis
  • analysis of riser systems
  • analysis for the different activities of the subsea structure installation
  • Interface with project team
  • Offshore support for the on-going installation activities
  • Write technical project documents (installation engineering memo and installation analysis reports)
  • Liaise with Project Teams for project data, installation feasibility
  • Liaise with Project Team and client to clarify installation analysis concerns
  • Consolidate Group experience in discipline.
  • Report project status to lead installation engineer and assess required resource adjustments
  • Ensures that specifications and norms related to the project are respected
  • Evaluate, organize and prioritize work for self

  • Support standards and procedures for the Engineering Function

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION

 

 Essential Experience, Skills and Knowledge 

  • Professional qualifications – Degree qualified or above
  • Relevant experience (2-4 years) in offshore installation related activities.
  • Competency in design and analysis software (i.e. Orcaflex) is essential.
  • Good knowledge of industry standards.
  • Can work to deadlines set by management
  • Presents self in a professional manner appropriate to the role
  • Produces work of presentable quality
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work
  • Ability to communicate at all levels within the organization
  • A demonstrable commitment to HSE and Quality
  • Shall be self-motivated and have well developed interpersonal skills to work.
