The HSEQ Advisor is the focal point for all iTech Services HSEQ Regional matters.  The HSEQ Advisor will provide a support function to the iTech Services regional team, onshore and offshore, ensuring the effective coordination and implementation of HSEQ tools, principles and objectives.

All personnel are expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture within iTech Services and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices. All personnel are also expected to contribute to creating a culture of ethics and integrity within iTech Services and ensure familiarity with and adherence to the Code of Conduct.


  • Support the local leadership team and operational teams in understanding and implementing the HSEQ requirements of the Global Business Management System. Provide relevant training as required.
  • Advise on local HSE regulatory requirements and verify compliance. Where necessary establish contact with authorities in order to cooperate on existing, new or proposed regulatory requirements.
  • Coach, mentor and support all employees in health, safety and security matters, the safeguarding of products and equipment, and the preservation of the environment. Promote HSEQ awareness, ensuring that all employees including subcontractors are aware of the requirements.
  • Prepare HSEQ related documentation such as HSEQ Plans, Inspection and Test Plans, Emergency Response Plans, Audit Reports, Interface Documents and Environmental Management Plans.
  • Identify HSEQ critical elements related to the Project works. Co-ordinate the execution of Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) and any other technical HSEQ studies. Generation and issuing of HIRA reports and management of resultant actions to close out.
  • Conduct HSEQ audits and inspections on iTech Services and Subcontractor/Supplier sites both onshore and offshore to ensure compliance with local regulations and Group/Project requirements.
  • Conduct HSEQ subcontractor/supplier bid evaluations and pre-award assessments.
  • Liaise with other regions on HSEQ matters and represent the function at HSEQ, region and Project meetings as required.
  • Issue periodic HSEQ performance reports for the region to Group, local leadership team and Clients as required.
  • Monitor product and service quality at operational worksites including subcontractor/supplier facilities.
  • Identify and coordinate appropriate levels of quality surveillance, inspection and control within specific areas of project execution and delivery.
  • Identify HSEQ training requirements for the region. Maintain and update the iTech Services HSEQ training matrix to ensure accurate. Report on HSEQ training including, but not limited to, e-learning and technical competency.
  • Compile HSEQ tender input and subsequent response to clarifications.
  • Lead the testing of regional emergency response arrangements to ensure they are in place and operating effectively for all work locations.  Assume an active role in the Regional Emergency Response Team.
  • Ensure non-conformities are reported in accordance with iTech Services procedure and resultant actions are proactively managed for effective closeout.
  • Monitor incidents and near misses on regional iTech Services onshore and offshore operational sites.  Provide support to investigations and follow-up of resultant corrective and preventative actions.
  • Prepare periodic analysis of incident and near miss statistics. Report to relevant authorities’ incident investigation findings and the keeping of records concerning incidents and near misses at work.

  • Broad depth of HSE and Quality management.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience of HSEQ preferably in the Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Professional qualification in any of the HSEQ disciplines, recognised in the Region.
  • Qualified and experienced auditor.
  • Trained and experienced in root cause analysis.
