Job Description

Deputy Logistics Manager to support GPC Project and Tenders 
Support Logistics Manager with current GPC Projects as required. 
Focal Point for Logistics elements associated with SCM Tender deliverables. 

Key Responsibilities

• Support and Assists Logistics Manager with all Logistics activities in Suresnes 
• Assists Logistics Leads and Logistics Coordinators allocated to GPC Projects when required.
• Ensure Logistics personnel take ownership for transportation and customs clearance of all material and equipment during the Project
• Support identification and promotion of synergies between Projects in relation to Logistics activates.  
• Ensure SCM rules, principle and processes are implements related to Logistics activities on Projects. 
• Participate in selection of suppliers on GPC Projects in line with internal SCM processes. 
• Develops and promotes a positive relationship between Logistics teams located in GPC Sutton and Suresnes offices. 
• Focal Point for Logistics elements associated with SCM Tender deliverables
• Develop Transportation Plans and Costing sheets to support SCM Tender deliverables. 
• Issuance of Request for Quotations, Request for Information and collation of information received from the suppliers.
• Support planning and participation of overseas sourcing missions as required in support of tenders and projects. 
• Interface with internal functions and stakeholders when working on Tenders
• Maintaining and developing relationships with suppliers

Experience and Skills Required

• 10 years in Logistics Roles within the Oil & Gas Business or Shipping Business
• Experience in working overseas supporting Logistics activities 
• Exposure to a variety of Logistics roles – Freight forwarding, Customs formalities, vessel and port agency, husbandry and Logistics in remote locations 
• Previous Managerial or Supervisory position 
• Demonstrates good communication skills and is a team player
• Capable of managing multiple and challenging requests.
