Seaway 7 - Renewables Business Unit

Seaway 7, the Renewables Business Unit of Subsea 7, is a uniquely capable and experienced partner for the delivery of offshore wind farm projects as well as specialist heavy lifting and cable installation services. With combined expertise in project management, engineering, procurement, fabrication, heavy lifting and cable installation services, Seaway 7 delivers these services in a comprehensive array of contractual structures including EPCI, T&I and BoP (Balance of Plant), to our clients in the offshore Renewables sector.

Seaway 7 provides services supported by four dedicated specialist vessels, augmented by access to vessels from Subsea 7’s fleet which can provide additional asset support when required. The Heavy Lift Vessels Seaway Strashnov and Seaway Yudin, as well as the industry-leading Cable-Lay Vessels Seaway Aimery and Installation Support Vessel Seaway Moxie are dedicated to Seaway 7.

Contract Manager (m/f/d)

As a Contract Manager you are part of our Legal Department and report directly to the Legal Counsel, and whilst working on specific projects, you will also report to the respective Project Manager. 

Position overview:

  • Support of specific projects in contractual and legal matters during the execution of the Project, especially with regard to compliance with contractual requirement
  • Advising the Project Manager and the project team members in contractual and legal matters
  • Support/manage proactively project specific as well as company related interfaces to inter alia Finance/Cost Control, QHSE, Technical Department, Operations Department, and Planning
  • Preparation and drafting of Variations, Subcontracts and other contractual documents as required in collaboration with other project team members
  • Advising and supporting SOC Management and Project Management/Project Team on contractual matters
  • (Support of) Conducting contract negotiations with Employers, Subcontractors and Suppliers both during tender phase and during project execution phase
  • Preparation of own claims and defending claims from other parties

Authority / Dimensions:

  • Operate within the Business Code of Conduct
  • Operate according to Subsea 7's Management Principles
  • Support standards and procedures for the relevant Function

Key qualifications/experience:

  • University degree
  • Preferably experience in the marine and offshore installation industry and  in large engineering and/or construction projects
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Adaptive, accurate and resourceful
