The Project Consortium Quality Manager has overall responsibility for all QA and QC personnel, quality documentation and activities on significant project’s working in a consortium partnership within the Middle East Business Unit (BU). The Project Consortium Quality Manager will work strategically with the Middle East BU Quality Manager, APME HSEQ Director and respective Consortium Project Director to deliver a step change to project and BU Quality culture & approach. 

The Project Consortium Quality Manager will be allocated to significant projects within the Middle East BU, working within a Project Consortium with Subsea 7 Joint Venture Partners. The role will have Profit & Loss responsibility for Quality at a Project level, and will be based in Middle East with the expectation of regular travel.

The Project Consortium Quality Manager shall have the authority and responsibility at a Project level to ensure work, product or service and the supporting organisation is fit for purpose, consistent and meets both external and internal requirements. This includes legal compliance and customer expectations.

The role will oversee all management of Quality on Consortium projects ensuring adequate resources are allocated to provide the appropriate level of QA/QC input and support. The Project Consortium Quality Manager will have a strategic and focused approach to management of Quality aspects relating to the Supply Chain.

Project Consortium Quality Manager will be required to liaise with other managers and staff throughout the project life cycle and/or organisation to ensure that the quality management system is functioning properly. Where appropriate, Project Consortium Quality Manager will advise on changes and how to implement them and provide training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve quality standards.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • Extensive experience of working within the Oil and Gas Industry, having held a Senior Quality position and worked with a Quality function
  • Significant EPCI experience within the Middle East
  • Preferable experience working within a Consortium/Joint Venture environment
  • Experience working on one substantial project for Saudi Aramco.
  • Degree Quality Management, Engineering or equivalent would be preferred.
  • Broad depth of subject knowledge.
  • Qualified and experienced Lead Auditor of Quality Management Systems to ISO9001.
  • Previous experience in supervision of QA and QC personnel while working in a project environment
