Seaway 7, the Renewables & Heavy Lifting business unit within Subsea 7, is seeking to hire a Junior Business Controller Offshore Resources & Engineering.

SHL is part of Seaway 7, the Renewables & Heavy Lifting business unit within Subsea 7. Seaway 7 provides project management, engineering, fabrication, heavy lifting, cable installation and decommissioning services for offshore energy infrastructure developments. Seaway 7 delivers these in a comprehensive array of contractual structures including EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Installation), T&I (Transportation & Installation), BoP (balance of plant) and integrated services to our clients in the renewables and oil & gas industries.

Seaway 7 is comprised of two companies:

  • Seaway Heavy Lifting (SHL) which manages and performs the transportation and heavy lifting of offshore structures.
  • Seaway Offshore Cables (SOC) which manages and performs submarine cable installation, trenching activities and related IMR services.

We are looking for a fulltime Junior Business Controller to support the Sr. Business Controller Offshore Resources & Engineering within our Project Services - Finance department in Zoetermeer.

The Junior Business Controller supports the Business Controller Offshore Resources (OR) analyses and forecasts relating to the equipment pool and operational/capital expenditures. The function of Assistant Business Controller will report into the Senior Business Controller.

You will be part of a successful company, entering a next phase of development.

Key responsibilities:

  • Be a solid sparring partner to the Business Controller OR and prepare high-end quality analysis to support business decision taking
  • Ensure and monitor reliable and correct data processing in the various software packages
  • Project administration of multiple substantial CAPEX projects; review of correct allocation of actuals, provide project MT with insights on actuals, provide key business stakeholders with reporting on costs and support the MT during the full supply chain.
  • Accounting support to Business Controller, prepare position papers, yearly inventory of stock take and review of correct allocation of actuals in SAP.
  • Timely collect and accurate monitoring of all relevant data, perform analyses, make forecasts and produce reports.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly financial reports such as Cash flow, Major Project Memo, Sensitivities, Project specification, Backlog and project accruals.
  • Pro-active role in the re-development of financial cost reporting
  • Actively support integration and transition to group standards

Capability profile / Qualifications:

  • At least a Bachelor level of education or preferably university degree
  • At least 2-3 years of experience as a Junior Business Project Controller in a similar industry (Offshore, Construction, Marine environment)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office user. Experienced SAP user
  • Preferably BFC experience.
  • Knowledge of IFRS, in particular IFRS 15
  • Excellent command of English and Dutch language
  • Flexible, multitasking, able to work under pressure, team player and accurate
  • Assertive and proactive
