Seaway 7, the Renewables & Heavy Lifting business unit of Subsea 7, is a uniquely capable and experienced partner for the delivery of offshore wind farm projects as well as specialist heavy lifting and cable installation services. With combined expertise in project management, engineering, procurement, fabrication, heavy lifting and cable installation services, Seaway 7 delivers these services in a comprehensive array of contractual structures including EPCI, T&I and BoP (Balance of Plant), to our clients in the offshore Renewables and Oil & Gas sector.

Seaway 7 operates from 4 main offices:

  • Heavy Lifting (Zoetermeer, Netherlands)  
    Transportation and installation of offshore structures
  • Offshore Cables (Leer, Germany)  
    Installation of submarine cables & umbilicals, trenching and IMR related business

  • EPC (Aberdeen, UK) 
    Delivery of EPC solutions for the Renewables sector

  • Integrated Solutions and Floating Wind (Paris, France)
    Delivery of integrated T&I solutions for the Renewables sector and Floating Wind development

We are looking for a fulltime Marketing & Strategy Analyst to join our Business Development Department in Zoetermeer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market analyses (desk research) to identify key market trends and competitor strategy and activity.
  • Provide valuable benchmarking for management.
  • Ensure that senior management and key stakeholders are fully informed about implications of research and monitoring models.
  • Manage the technical part of the project-database (including testing, proposing improvements, etc.).
  • Critical check of strategy determined by Management team by comparing it to market projections so the assumptions underlying Seaway 7's (Heavy Lifting) strategy and assumed value creation are continuously challenged based on market knowledge.
  • Deliver input for strategic management and sales reports and provide recommendations based on input.
  • Track, investigate and register the activities of competitors’ fleets. Track, analyse and register projects awarded to the main competition, including scope and price levels.
  • Conduct Case Studies and present outcomes to relevant stakeholders (e.g. lunch- and learn sessions).
  • Support Business Development, Proposals and other department with presentations on market analysis.

Capability Profile / Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or equivalent
  • 3-4 years working experience within a complex market environment.
  • Good command of English.
  • Good communicator, both verbally and in written form.
  • Practically minded. Advanced user Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent user Microsoft Office Excel.
  • Creation of (regular) reports for business’s leadership; reports are easily digestible, unambiguous, engaging, informative, and convincing.
  • Ability to drive work independently with little structure.

Preferred:

  • Technical background or interests.
  • Excellent Client Relationship Management Microsoft Dynamics understanding
  • Experience in technical and or offshore industry.
