DESCRIPTION OF ROLE

The Senior / Executive, Human Resources supports the Human Resources (HR) Function through providing a flexible and professional HR service to Line Management and employees, through full alignment of employee related strategies, Subsea 7 policy and relevant legislation.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Generic Key Responsibilities & Activities:

  • Provides Human Resource business partnering and expertise within the designated business area.
  • Develops a constructive and professional relationship with all stakeholders and colleagues, interfacing with other Middle East business unit locations – Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Qatar
  • Support the relevant HR plan and strategy.
  • Responsible for the efficient, timely, accurate and cost effective management and delivery of the function's activities within the designated area of responsibility, considering local employment legislation.
  • Ensures the implementation of and adherence to Subsea 7's Management System, professional tools, policies, systems and processes.
  • Ensures accuracy and compliance of all HR data (manual and electronic).
  • Ensures Human Resources capitalises from lessons learned and is performed in accordance with best practice, striving to mitigate risk, promoting safety and integrity consistently.
  • Participates in Territory and Global HR initiatives as and when required.
  • Supports the standardisation, compliance and efficiency of Functional policies, processes and systems across Subsea 7.
  • In addition to above, may have Specialist Responsibility for an area of HR Expertise

Specific Key Responsibilities & Activities:

Human Resources

  • Human Resource business partnering to assigned business unit to understand their HR needs and provide effective HR solutions and interventions
  • In collaboration with key stakeholders, support, review or implement where necessary to ensure integrity & compliance in HR operational areas such as :
  • Transition of HR administration from in country to centralised Employee Services
  • Standardised and consistent employment terms and contracts
  • Visa compliance
  • Induction
  • Mandatory training
  • Leave management
  • Fair and consistent compensation & benefits in line with Group and Region policies, guidelines and processes

Recruitment

  • In collaboration with key stakeholders in the business unit, partner closely with hiring managers to address the sourcing, recruitment and retention of local talent

Organisational Development

  • Deliver and implement Subsea 7’s performance management system
  • Identify and action development and training needs
  • In collaboration with key stakeholders in the business unit, develop & implement a plan to recognise our people
  • Deliver the global opinion survey
  • Support the global talent review process locally
  • Training line managers in HR and people management practice

Key Qualification/Requirements

  • Degree Qualified or equivalent (preferably in Human Resources)
  • Relevant previous experience in a HR advisory or generalist role; existing knowledge of the subsea or offshore industry would be an advantage
  • Proactive, possess good problem solving skills and take pride in delivering a professional and quality HR service to the business
  • Strong resilience and the ability to manage multiple priorities
