POSITION: Senior HR Business Partner

 

REPORTING TO: HR Director Seaway 7

 

Seaway 7, the Renewables business unit within Subsea 7, is seeking to hire a Senior HR Business Partner for our Cables Business in Leer, Germany. (Consideration will be given to a base in Zoetermeer with frequent travel to Leer)

 

Seaway 7 provides project management, engineering, fabrication, heavy lifting, cable installation and decommissioning services for offshore energy infrastructure developments. Seaway 7 delivers these in a comprehensive array of contractual structures including EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Installation), T&I (Transportation & Installation), BoP (balance of plant) and integrated services to our clients in the renewables and oil & gas industries.

 

Seaway 7 is comprised of two specialities:

 

  • Seaway Heavy Lifting which manages and performs the transportation and heavy lifting of offshore structures.
  • Seaway Offshore Cables which manages and performs submarine cable installation, trenching activities and related IMR services.

 

 JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

The Sr. HR Business Partner advises/ supports the Management Team of the Cables organization, assigned departments and commercial projects pro-actively with regards to HR related topics and independently works on (corporate and business unit) HR projects.

 

We are looking for a service minded person, structured and used to working in high paced environments. An autonomous, highly qualified professional and with experience in seniority. The role requires experience working in an international complex project matrix organization and the ability to manage change.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:

 

  • Providing advice, consultancy and recommendation to all management levels on HR aspects and all topics related to Performance, strategic personnel planning, resignation and Training & Development.
  • Liaise with functional/ department heads to understand all necessary aspects and needs of HR development, and to ensure they are fully informed of HR objectives, purpose and achievements.
  • German Payroll knowledge is preferred.
  • Proactively act as a subject matter expert on all aspects of international assignments, ensure full tax, social security and immigration compliance for all assignees, employees and management.
  • Be proactive in identifying people issues and trends within the business and work together with your key stakeholders in order to formulate and implement solutions.
  • Bring professional support to Management for Talent Management activities.
  • Participating in the definition of long-term business objectives and deriving the strategic HR priorities from the business strategy.
  • All the above should be in line with applicable Laws and regulations.
  • Carry out other department related tasks when required by management.
  • Sit in local Management Team when required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Minimum Bachelor level in Human Resources Management
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a HR Advisory role.
  • Proven experience in an international business partnering role with the ability to influence, coach and advise (senior) management.
  • Experience within a fast-pace project matrix environment with changing priorities is considered to be highly advantageous.
  • Good understanding of HR related laws & regulations in Germany is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of oral and written English, German is considered a plus.

LOCATION: Leer (Germany).

Seaway 7 has offices other locations which can be considered as a home base. Regular presence in Leer is however required.
