  1. DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTION
  • The PPC advance user is responsible to enable the effective use of the Project Production Control solution including:
    • PPC solution deployment
    • Production Scheduling
    • Production Planning
    • Continuous Improvement
  • In addition, the position involves training and continuously developing the technical skills of yard resources within each of the above disciplines and ensuring that they carry out activities in an efficient and safe manner.
  1. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Technically responsible for PPC services for SLGC projects.
  2. Set-up, and then implementing the procedures/guidelines for the PPC solution.
  3. Apply knowledge and understanding in support of processes that interface with Client PPC requirements.
  4. Timely production/review of deliverables in a professional and accurate manner related to all disciplines.
  5. Contribute to the development of Sonamet technical database
  6. Review client specifications and provide comments/alternatives, if not within the capabilities of related disciplines.
  7. Understand, apply and follow the client specifications along with the best industry practice for all the related disciplines.
  8. Plan the activities within the disciplines for efficient execution.
  9. Maintain awareness of today's industry and contribute to the continuous improvement of the disciplines through networking and support to regular forums/meetings.
  10. Promote the introduction and exploitation of innovative technology to give the project, study or tender a competitive advantage.
  11. Pursue goals, plan, prioritise and organise work, apply logical analysis to break down problems and to develop solutions by creative thinking
  12. Develop working relationships through effective communication.
  13. Willingness to self-development, as well as train and develop others.
  14. Contribute to regular forums/meetings with personnel in the discipline to stimulate discussions on ways of improving all disciplines and ensure flow of information and knowledge transfer.
  15. Ensure all the discipline related activities are performed as per safety rules and within safety conditions. Liaise with Safety Department to tackle safety issues in preparing and performing related activity.
  1. SPECIFIC ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • PPC solution Deployment
    • Configuration and Deployment Planning
    • Training and Initial Planning
  • Production Scheduling
    • use the PPC Solution Production Scheduling process, ensuring that accurate and integrated short-term Production Schedules are always available and ready for control according to a defined Control Cycle.
    • conduct regular (at least once a week) Production Scheduling

sessions with cross-discipline/cross-company

  • ensure effective, engaged and ongoing participation of Supervisory Personnel directly responsible for the Work
  • insert milestones derived from the project master schedule into Client Production Manager and become targets for Production Scheduling.
  • ensure that all workflows that are captured as part of integrated

Production Schedules contain information about attributes of the Work such as areas, systems, sub-systems and components

  • create all Production Schedules and maintain in accordance with logic workflows
  • Production Planning
    • use the PPC Solution Production Planning process, ensuring that

resources (capacity, inventory and time) are effectively allocated and used to execute Work based on priorities defined through the Production Schedule

  • shall conduct daily Production Planning sessions with cross-discipline/cross-company inclusive of supervision
  • use detailed Production Plans to specifically define the tasks to be executed for the next Control Cycle and the Project Production Team
  • Continuous Improvement
    • use the PPC Solution Continuous Improvement process to act on opportunities to improve project performance
    • ensure effective, engaged and ongoing participation of Project Production Team members directly responsible for the Work (even if subcontracted) in weekly Continuous Improvement sessions
    • implement and monitor corrective action plans and improvement initiatives that relate to the Work and be heavily involved in Continuous Improvement efforts to further analyse and derive actions for performance improvement

         Internal  

    • Project Managers and Project Engineers (For support during studies, tenders and projects.)
    • Discipline Managers (For various technical support issues to studies, tenders and projects

        External

    • Company Client Representatives
  1. CAPABILITY PROFILE – KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND BEHAVIOURS
  • 5+ years fabrication experience; understanding of fabrication sequences and an ability to interpret and analyze fabrication schedules
  • Advanced computer skills, experience using standard software packages
  • Ability and willingness to learn new programs and processes
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience facilitating meetings
  • Ability and willingness to collaborate and work with various levels of both Contractor’s and Company’s site teams and workforce.
  • Preferred to be fluent in English and Portuguese
  • Encouraging a culture of transparency by acting consistently with integrity
  • Ability to work with the minimum supervision
  • Good interpersonnel skills, team-player
