The Seagreen project is a major award to Subsea 7 by SSE Renewables for the engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) of the foundations and inter array cables for the Seagreen Offshore Wind Farm project, 27km offshore Scotland. The Seagreen development will be a 1,075MW offshore wind farm, comprising 114 wind turbines located off the east coast of Scotland.

Seaway 7, the Renewables business unit of Subsea 7, will manage the EPCI of the 114 Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) foundations and approximately 300km of associated inter array cables.

The Seagreen project is looking to recruit  2 Senior Quality Advisor's into the project quality team to support project execution and integrity management across the EPCI work packages. 


The Senior Quality Advisor's positions will be accountable for all project Quality activities within assigned work packages ensuring that all aspects of the work are compliant with Project Contractual requirements, Subsea7 BMS, Regulatory and Legal requirements. The Senior Quality Advisor will also have responsibility for supervising and mentoring additional project quality control resources.

The Project have a need for 2 individuals, one will be on a contract basis and one will be on a staff basis. 

All personnel are expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture within Seaway 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices.

Specific Key Responsibilities & Activities

  • Directs, manages and monitors all Quality activities and Quality performance within assigned project work packages.
  • Provides Quality support and direction to the Project team for assigned work packages.
  • Drives and supports Plan Do Check Act (PDCA) quality management approach within the assigned work packages.
  • Manages Supplier Quality performance, monitoring and delivery for assigned work packages.
  • Deputises for the Project Quality Manager as required.
  • Quality Control Co-Ordination across all project work packages including QC budget, resource forecasting and QC performance management.
  • Drives and support Lessons Learned and Knowledge Management within the Project team.
  • Management and delivery of the Audit programme within the assigned Project work package(s)
  • Proactive engagement, recording and sharing of Lessons Learned throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provides quality support and input for Risk Management and Mitigation for assigned work packages.
  • Provides Quality review of internal project documents (cross functional) i.e. IDC Review
  • Provides Quality support for 3rd Party Engineering Design Development and Review.
  • Liaise with Engineering technical authorities i.e. Welding & Materials, NDT and Coatings to ensure alignment with Quality requirements and deliverables.
  • Supports project team with Interface management and management of change processes including as built traceability and verification.
  • Manages review and approval of supplier Inspection and test plans (ITP’s) and associated supplier quality documents in collaboration with relevant technical authorities.
  • Manages Inspection assignments – selection, mobilisation, service delivery.
  • Manages and Directs QC Inspection Resources for assigned work packages.
  • Provides quality input to project weekly / monthly reports (Client and Project) for assigned work packages.
  • Quality representative at project and client meetings for assigned work packages.
  • Management of Quality performance data incl. supplier due diligence, audit, non-conformance, root cause analysis, key performance indictors and objectives for assigned work packages.
  • Promotes and mentors the project team on project Quality requirements and deliverables.
  • Manages and supports Quality interface with Site Teams for assigned work packages e.g. Fabrication and Marshalling Yards.
  • Supports development and implementation of WTG Substructure and Inter Array Cables acceptance and handover process.
  • Verification of quality outputs throughout the project lifecycle in support of technical acceptance and handover, section completion, final completion and warranty provision for assigned work packages.
  • Manages facilitation of As Built package delivery in collaboration with remote site teams as applicable for assigned work packages.



  • Experienced Projects and Operations Quality Professional.
  • Degree level qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in supervision and mentoring of Quality personnel within a team structure is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Standards: ISO 9000 Series, ISO 10005, BE EN 102004
  • Strong EPCI projects background and extensive knowledge and understanding of the Quality discipline within the Renewables / Oil and Gas Sector
  • Strong working knowledge in Contractual Mechanisms, Legislation and Standards as relevant to the UK Renewables / Oil and Gas Industry
  • Excellent organisational, communication, IT literacy and report writing skills
  • Capable of presentation and discussion at Senior Management Level
  • Qualified and experienced Lead Auditor
  • Proven Incident Management and Investigation experience
  • Proven problem-solving skills, analytical and systematic working approach
