Seaway 7, the Renewables business unit of Subsea 7, is a highly capable and experienced partner for the delivery of fixed and floating offshore wind farm projects, as well a provider of specialist heavy lifting and cable installation services. With combined expertise in project management, engineering, procurement, fabrication, heavy lifting and cable installation services, Seaway 7 delivers these services in a comprehensive array of contractual structures including engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI), transportation and installation (T&I) and balance of plant to our clients in the offshore Renewables sector.


Seaway 7 is looking for a Senior Project Manager who will manage the projects of the company for all technical, contractual, schedule and commercial aspects. The Project Management department manages/coordinates all matters that (may) affect the projects. Especially, but not limited to, project preparation, engineering, execution methods, budget, progress & commercial aspects. An important aspect is maintaining a lasting positive client relationship. For this position we are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a proven track record of delivery on Transportation and Installation projects with a specific focus on Foundations. 

All personnel are expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture within Seaway 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees all aspects of the day-to-day management of transportation and installation projects, monitors and co-ordinates the work performed by Engineering, Planning, Finance & Control, Contracts, HSEQ, Operations and subcontractors
  • Ensures that project execution is in compliance with the contract (client/Seaway 7), contractual specifications and client requirements
  • Establishes that performance and delivery criteria are met, project meetings are held, and project documentation is generated and maintained
  • Authorises issuance of purchase orders and variation orders, approves (sub)contractors’ invoices of payments
  • Controls the project budget throughout the projects duration and generates updates of the budget/cost control report on a monthly basis in cooperation with the Projects Management Director, Financial Controller and Project Cost Controller
  • Raises and approves invoices for client payments to Seaway 7
  • Represents Seaway 7 in meetings with clients, (sub)contractors and other agencies or organisations
  • Prepares reports pertaining to operations including close out reports
  • Performs miscellaneous job-relates duties as assigned
  • Carry out other department related tasks when required by management

Professional Qualifications/Experience

  • Minimum Bachelor level of education (Civil and/or Mechanical Engineering)
  • Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience as responsible project manager included within which should be Foundations T&I experience.
  • Capable of running more project simultaneously or more complex projects
  • Good command of verbal and written English. (Essential)
  • Dutch Language Skills (Advantageous)

Working Location:

The position will be based out of our Zoetermeer office. Travelling overseas and/or to our vessels and project locations is an essential requirement of this position.
