HR Data Analyst / Controller – Global Projects Centre and Asia Pacific

 

DESCRIPTION OF ROLE 

Reporting to Regional HR Director the HR Data Analyst / Controller is accountable for delivery of monthly HR reports, workforce data and forecast planning.

Working with large data fields drawn from HR systems and Excel you will be responsible for data analysis and production of meaningful management information and statistics to drive informed management decision.

The role will be based in Sutton. 

This is a new opening and the successful candidate will be able to develop and make their role their own.

All personnel are required to develop and foster a positive HSEQ culture throughout Subsea 7, and drives HSEQ performance and to contribute to creating a culture of ethics and integrity within Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to the Code of Conduct. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES

  • Manage monthly workforce data reporting. Ensuring data integrity, consistency and reconciliation with Finance.
  • Undertake detailed preparation of workforce data, interpret and present data in a coherent format for senior leaders
  • Build and develop dashboards and reporting. Improving automation and trending analysis.
  • Consolidating functional and country headcount and long term resource forecasting.
  • Create insight-led analytics; providing recommendations to improve operational performance.
  • Consolidation of GPC & AP Region personnel cost and headcount planning as well as regular variance analysis and forecasts, including comparison to budgets.
  • Assist the tendering delivery through the producing of reports with the allocation of the resources.
  • Continuous development of resource forecasting planning tool. Working with digitalization team, to develop and roll out Global Resource Planning tools.
  • Conduct regular and ad-hoc business analyses and support HR business decisions.
  • Optimization of HR and Controlling related processes.

  • Operate within the Business Code of Conduct.
  • Operate according to Subsea 7's Management Principles.
  • Support standards and procedures for the Human Resources Function.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE 

  • Candidates should be graduate or graduate caliber, ideally from a Data Analytics, Computer Science or Business Information background
  • Experience of building and maintaining reporting and analytics
  • Good communication skills and strong team spirit.
  • Fluency in English
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience in Power BI preferred
  • Experience dealing with large sets of data and being able to manipulate this into meaningful outputs
  • Results driven individual who can work independently with excellent organizational skills.
  • Analytical thinking and proactive skills.  
  • Strong attention to detail and data integrity focus.
  • Ability to enhance the look and feel of data and reporting
  • Background in HR / People Systems is preferred, but not essential.
