Our Pipeline Group (PG) offer consistent and progressive delivery of global rigid pipeline systems, through locally tailored solutions, automation and strategic supply chain partnerships. Pipelines for emerging energy systems, CCUS & hydrogen - trillions of dollars will be invested in rewiring and replumbing the worlds energy system over the next few decades.

The PG Management Accountant is responsible for the delivery and development of the Management Accounting discipline within PG. The role functionally reports to the Finance Management Accounting Team Lead.


Specific Key Responsibilities & Activities

  • Assist in preparation of monthly management report
  • Prepare annual budgets and future years forecasts and review with cost centre managers
  • Prepare monthly files for operating cost centres
  • Analyse actuals each month and provide details relating to any variances. Forecast future gross costs and recoveries in cost centre files
  • Liaise with cost centre managers and relevant members of their team to plan, monitor and advise on financial performance
  • Prepare and submit monthly cash flow forecasts
  • Assist in the annual white book rate process and update rates in SAP where necessary
  • General month end tasks – preparing accruals and prepayments
  • Prepare ad-hoc internal reports and other duties as required



  • Professional qualifications – Ideally educated to HND level or equivalent in a finance or business related subject but where a good level of experience can be demonstrated in a similar role this will be reviewed
  • Previous experience of cost centre accounting
  • Relevant previous experience at an appropriate level in the subsea or offshore oil and gas industry is desirable


  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication skills
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity
  • Working knowledge of SAP desirable
