We are now recruiting for experienced Welding Inspectors.

This will be based on day rate terms and conditions. Candidates must be eligible to apply for the relevant Saudi visa.

Candidates should be certified as an American Welding Society CWI or CSWIP 3.1 Certified Welding Inspector and have 5 years inspection experience with minimum of 3 years directly relating to vendor inspection activities in the contract scope of work.

Previously Aramco approved candidates are welcome to apply for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supervising welding activities during welder’s qualification and production welding;
  • Monitors and controls Welding inspection activities as per Approved Inspection and Testplan;
  • Ensures all the installation welding activities follow Approved Welding procedure (WPS);
  • Welding inspection (in process, repair and final inspection);
  • Verification of welding consumables and welding equipment;
  • Perform project material receiving inspection;
  • Management of project quality records for final documentation;

Key Requirements:

  • Must hold a valid Opito approved offshore survival and OGUK medical
  • Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent with overall 5 years of inspection experience
  • Must hold an eyes test report received in the last 6 months
  • Must have passed Near Vision Acuity Test and Color perception test using Ishihara test plates 
  • Should be fully conversant with applicable Industry standards and Specifications  and be able to perform a variety of inspection functions with minimal supervision.
  • Welding Inspector should be certified as an American welding society CWI, CSWIP 3.1Certified Welding Inspector, or equivalent.Should also possess a demonstrated background and thorough knowledge of codes such as ANSI B 31.3, 31.4, and 31.8,ASME Section V and IX,API 620 and 650,AWS D1.1, required for the execution of the work.
  • Where Nondestructive Testing (NDT) forms part of the work and inspector is required to review or ensure NDT programs and results, he shall have been previously qualified and certified to a minimum ASNT Level II in the relevant methods.WHen performing ,reviewing or ensuring Nondestructive Testing in VT ,MT,PT,RT or UT ,he shall be certified in the specific methods.when performing ,reviewing or ensuring Radiograohic Testing Film Interpretation (RTFI), inspector shall be certified in RTFI.
  • Previous aramco approved qualification will be of added advantage
  • Good interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
  • Must be fluent in written and spoken English
