We are currently looking for a Training Co-ordinator to join our team within Subsea 7’s HR Resource Centre, which is responsible for the delivery of all HR support for the UK onshore business.

The role will be responsible for the co-ordination and administration of all training activities, providing support to employees and maintaining the online learning system, Cornerstone. 

Working within the HR Resource Centre team to deliver an excellent service to the business, you will be the first point of contact for all training queries. You will co-ordinate all learning activities, resolve queries, assist in streamlining training processes and ensure that we get maximum value from our online learning system. 


Role and Responsibilities

  • Ensuring compliance with all training policies, processes and procedures to ensure an efficient and effective service to the business.
  • Maintaining and updating courses and training records in the learning management system, including reviewing course feedback, running reports and managing waiting lists.
  • Liaising with trainers, booking training rooms, arranging hospitality, distributing course materials and ensuring required equipment is available and in working order for the efficient running of all events.
  • Coordination and delivery of a range of projects and regular events. This will include attending meetings, taking notes and progressing actions to ensure the projects are delivered to the agreed timescales. Examples of this include our Graduate induction program and our annual Festival of Learning.
  • Supporting the UK HR team with training needs and enquiries and advise on blended learning opportunities.
  • Managing the training calendar and promoting the availability of training and development opportunities from a Group and UK perspective.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with existing external training providers and identifying new providers.
  • Updating and maintaining the internal training SharePoint site.
  • Liaising with the learning management systems support team to manage technical issues and user queries.
  • Co-ordinating cost control activities including tracking spend, raising purchase requisitions in SAP and arranging payment to providers.
  • Developing and maintaining positive, collaborative working relationships with all staff to ensure the reputation of the HR Resource Centre team as a customer focused function.


  • Demonstrable experience in a training
  • Experience utilising ECITB training levy and Apprenticeship levy is desirable.
  • Confident with technology, excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite and experience of learning management systems.


  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build and maintain strong internal / external relationships.
  • A collaborative worker able to engage with a range of key stakeholders, while also demonstrating initiative and ownership to work with minimal supervision.
  • Pro-active and solutions-based, will seek to devise and implement continuous improvements.
  • Excellent planning and organising skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Accustomed to meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines and manage customer expectations.
  • Flexible and adaptable to meet the evolving needs of a 24/7 global business.
