GPC HR Graduate/ Assistant

The HR Assistant is responsible for providing HR support to the HR Business Partnering team across our Europe sites (London & Paris) of the Global Projects Centre & Asia Pacific (GPC&AP) Region.

Based in Sutton the position covers a range of HR support duties in the field of learning & development, resourcing and recruitment, talent planning & development, and international mobility and other HR duties as required by the team across the two Europe GPC&AP sites.

REPORTS TO: GPC & AP (Europe) HR Business Partner Manager


  • Working with the HR Business Partnering team (HRBPs & HR Advisors) to assist in the delivery of an efficient, timely and accurate HR service to managers and employees.
  • SharePoint administration as we move towards migration to new SP platform
  • Other data tracking administration in SharePoint/ Teams in support of training (offshore medical & survival), mobility, and recruitment
  • Co-ordination of University /schools agenda in London, point of contact for all work experience/ school event participation including logistics planning (travel, equipment, pop up stands, pre event advertising).
  • Provision of ad-hoc SAP reporting as requested by team.
  • Preparation of employee communication (letters, employment confirmation) in link with the UK HR Resource Centre.
  • Keeps up to date of HR trends, development, and issues (e.g. UK employment legislation reports)

Qualifications / Skills

  • Degree in Human Resources preferred
  • Professional membership preferred (CIPD or equivalent)
  • Fluent English Essential, understanding of French desirable (for a Sutton based role)

Experience / person specification

  • Understanding of Human Resources Information Systems particularly SAP & Cornerstone
  • Pro-active in approach and highly visible to key business stakeholders
  • Good interpersonal communication skills
  • The ability to demonstrate an adaptable and collaborative approach
  • Comfortable with producing work of a presentable standard which is accurate and with an emphasis on attention to detail
