We are looking for a Communications Advisor with a passion for external and internal communications, to help achieve Subsea 7’s Global Projects Centre & Asia Pacific (GPC&AP) operational objectives. 

The role offers an exciting opportunity for someone with role relevant experience, who is looking to continue their development at Advisor level.

Reporting to the HR Business Partner Manager (Europe), the Communications Advisor will work closely with the HR Team, Regional HR Director and Regional Communications Network to create and develop a wide range of marketing and employee engagement material.

They will build and nurture positive working relationships by working effectively as part of a global communications team, to deliver projects on time and on budget.

Based in our Sutton office, to fulfil the duties of this full-time role, which include: 

Internal Communications Activities:

  • Support the fast-paced production of an extensive mix of employee engagement campaigns, such as our annual Festival of Learning.
  • Actively produce articles for all our employee engagement channels, including Subsea 7’s 7ONLINE SharePoint intranet and Yammer.
  • Create SharePoint pages to support campaigns.
  • Analyse our communications activity and make recommendations.
  • Provide communications advice and support in the development of materials and campaigns.
  • Support the effective communication of, and compliance to Subsea 7’s corporate brand guidelines. 
  • Act as a focal point for Corporate Social Responsibility and STEM communications.
  • Support Weekly Sutton News.

 

External Communications:

  • Manage the delivery of exhibitions and events, and the preparation of presentations, briefing material and award submissions.
  • Liaise with relevant suppliers and agencies – creative design agencies, web agencies, video producers, exhibition contractors, ER consultants and media. Also, client and partner communications teams and other relevant interfaces.
  • Create and maintain purchase orders and requisitions etc.

 

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar level communications role.
  • Oil and gas or marine industry experience is preferred, but not essential.
  • Microsoft office 365 experience beneficial i.e. Teams, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • SharePoint experience preferable but not essential (training will be provided).
  • Graphic design skills beneficial but not essential (Indesign/Illustrator).

  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and ownership, while contributing to team activities.
  • Excellent planning and organising skills, pro-active with a solutions-based approach.
