Title: Lead Project Engineer
Aberdeen (Westhill), GB
We are looking for a Lead Project Engineer to join our team in our Aberdeen office on a permanent staff basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on some of the world’s largest current and upcoming Offshore Windfarm projects. Reporting operationally to the Project Engineering Manager / Package Manager you will be supporting engineering scopes across large scale Foundations, Cables and EPCI projects and tenders.
What will you be doing?
- Oversee and assist with the production of delegated deliverables, including strategy recommendations to the Client, documentation delivery and design / fabrication compliance to both internal and external standards.
- Support interfaces & technical queries both externally and internally.
- Monitor & liaise with subcontractors and internal specialists in the production of deliverables to meet the contract schedule including coordination of offshore readiness reviews.
- Ongoing review and monitoring of risks and opportunities to ensure these are identified, recorded, and suitably addressed.
- Assist the Package Manager with commercial review and budget management.
- Contribute to internal meetings, client and subcontractor meetings, yard visits, mobilisations, and offshore works.
- As a Lead Project Engineer, you will potentially mentor a small number of more junior engineers, providing guidance and technical input whilst always being a positive role model.
- Communicate best practice and lessons learned to other projects and stakeholders.

- BEng / BSc or MEng / MSc in Civil / Mechanical / Offshore Engineering, Naval Architecture, or equivalent.
- Background in leading engineering packages in offshore wind or similar industries like offshore oil and gas.
- Ability to prioritise own and others’ workload, managing both time and change control effectively.
- Striving for Continuing Professional Development of self and others.
