As Offshore Wind grows in size and scale we require skilled individuals able to manage these major and complex projects.
What will you be doing?
The Lead Quality Advisor is responsible all project Quality activities within the assigned project, ensuring that all aspects of the work are compliant with project Contractual requirements, Seaway7 BMS, Regulatory and Legal requirements.
The Lead Quality Advisor will also be responsible for managing an effective team of assurance and control personnel.
• Provides Quality leadership and acts as a catalyst for quality improvement, promoting effective working relationships internally with the project team and externally with the Client.
• Collaborates with the Project Management Team to educate and enhance the Seaway7 Predictable Performance Objectives
• Directs and enhances Quality processes within Supply Chain activities.
• Works closely with Project team onshore and offshore on escalation of key quality issues, leading incident investigation as required.
• Ensures that Quality incident cases and non-conformances are properly reported, investigated and documented, utilising industry recognised Root Cause Analysis techniques.
• Implements and manages the Plan Do Check Act (PDCA) quality management approach within the Project.
• Leads Quality performance review, trend analysis and identification of areas for improvement within the Project.
• Attends regular meetings with Project Management Team and Employer as Quality representative.
• Focal point for all Employer Quality matters.
• Monitors Customer satisfaction and address issues as necessary.
• Supports Quality Local Management Team (QLMT) Incident case review meetings.
Project Start Up
• Leads the review of Employer Quality Requirements.
• Provides input into Risks and Opportunities process and supports Project Kick Off Activities.
• Development of Quality Objectives and KPI’s.
• Support development of Project Master Document Register (MDR) ensuring inclusion of all Quality deliverables.
• Development of risk-based project Audit plan.
• Development of Quality deliverables including Quality Plan, Supplier Quality Requirements, Master ITP and Handover and As Built Procedure.
• Review Supply Chain Plan (Commodities and Services) and conduct criticality assessments to feed into QC Inspection strategy and cost plan.
• Support delivery of project team quality training requirements e.g., BMS, Lessons Learned, Synergi, PM7, Non-Conformance.
Project Execution
• Provides Quality review of internal project documents as per MDR and liaises with internal functions to ensure alignment with Quality requirements and deliverables.
• Supports project team with Interface management and management of change processes including as built traceability and verification.
• Management and delivery of the Audit programme within the assigned Project.
• Provides Quality support and input into Supply Chain processes i.e., supplier Quality requirements, bid review, pre award supplier due diligence, kick off meetings and post award management.
• Leads Supplier Pre-Production Meetings (PPM) and verification of readiness to commence the works.
• Manages Supplier Quality performance, monitoring and delivery including review and approval of supplier Inspection and test plans (ITP’s) and associated supplier quality documents in collaboration with relevant technical authorities.
• Manages Inspection assignments – selection, mobilisation, service delivery.
• Manages and Directs QC Inspection Resources deployer to 3rd party sites.
• Monitoring and tracking of QC Inspection spend and budget.
• Provides quality input to project weekly / monthly reports.
• Promotes and mentors the project team on project Quality requirements and deliverables.
• Quality interface with site teams onshore and offshore.
• Verification of quality outputs throughout the project lifecycle in accordance with the Contract.
• Proactive engagement, recording and sharing of Lessons Learned throughout the project lifecycle.
Project Close Out
• Manages facilitation of As Built package delivery in collaboration with cross functional depts and offshore teams.
• Supports process for works completion and Transfer of Custody incl. punchlist closeout and verification.
What experience would we like you to have?
• Experienced Quality or Projects and Operations Professional in Leadership roles.
• Degree level qualification or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience in supervision and mentoring of personnel within a team structure.
• Excellent knowledge of Quality Standards: ISO 9000 Series, ISO 10005, BE EN 102004.
• Comprehensive background in EPCI projects along with significant knowledge of Quality standards relevant to the Renewables and Oil and Gas industries.
• Thorough working knowledge in Contractual Mechanisms, Legislation and Technical Codes and Standards as relevant to the UK Renewables / Oil and Gas Industry.
• Qualified and experienced Lead Auditor.
• Accomplished in incident management and investigation, with solid root cause analysis experience
