As Offshore Wind grows in size and scale we require skilled individuals able to manage these major and complex projects.

 

The Project SCM Manager is responsible for all supply chain related activities on major offshore wind farm projects. This includes procurement of complex services and products, third party logistics and the pre and post award management of supply chain agreements.
 

The role is only applied on large or complex projects where the project success is heavily depending on the safe and timely delivery of the subcontractors and suppliers.
 

The position reports to the Project Director and is responsible for the success of all the SCM activities in line the Project’s overall schedule and profitability targets.
 

What will you be doing?

•    Lead the commercial negotiation process.
•    Arrange for an ideal Project SCM organisation in terms of resources and ensure the right organisation is set-up for each PO or Subcontract.
•    Manage the dedicated SCM resources assigned to the Project.
•    Ensure the implementation of HSEQ Objectives.
•    Develop and manage the updating of the Project Procurement Plan in collaboration with others disciplines through a weekly Procurement Plan meeting
•    Ensure the SCM takes the full ownership of each Subcontract from receipt of requisition to final delivery.
•    Ensure coordination on the Project between SCM and Engineering, Quality HSE, Planning, Operations and Project Management by conducting regular expediting meeting 
•    Organise the Project SCM Kick off Meeting.
•    Ensure the enquiries are issued in line with contractual requirements and Seaway7 procedures
•    Ensure technical and commercial discussions with Suppliers and Subcontractors take place in a professional and ethical manner.
•    Review bid evaluations and recommendations and ensure their approval by the proper authorised personnel.
•    Review of all subcontracts before signature
•    Follow-up of SCM budget and report any major deviation.
•    Carry out a monthly cost review with Project Controls and support from the PO Cost Follow-up sheets
•    Ensure proper closing out of the Contracts with Suppliers/Subcontractors.
•    Provide a Project Close out Report incorporating SCM lessons learnt and analytical data related to SCM activities.
•    Review and finalise the Project Bidders Lists

 

What experience would we like you to have?

  • As a minimum bachelor level in a technical, commercial or legal discipline.
  • Team leader who engages and connects. 
  • High degree of diligence during day-to-day business; accurate.
  • Comfortable negotiator; easy communicator.
  • Is willing to travel and/or work abroad from time to time.
