Title: Quality Manager
Aberdeen (Westhill), GB
We are looking for a Quality Manager to join our team the Aberdeen office on a full time, staff basis to support our project teams in the UK and internationally.
The Quality Manager is responsible for the effective management of quality assurance and quality control, delivering quality management and improvement support to a portfolio of Projects within Seaway7 and across the supporting Functions.
They will also be responsible for developing a skilled team and maintaining a positive and collaborative working environment that encourages efficient team working whilst ensuring compliance with all Quality policies, process, and procedures.
What will you be doing?
• Acts as a catalyst for quality improvement, establishing positive working relationships within the projects and operations teams and
supporting functions
• Influence the project managers to lead with quality across the BU2 projects
• Supports the development of the quality team ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly understood and performance and development outcomes are effectively monitored
• Engage and collaborates with the Seaway7 management and leadership teams to inform, affect and shape Seaway7 predictable performance intentions
• Management of the quality functional resource plan and quality resource forecasting
• Works closely with project and operations teams to support resource provision into the projects
• Works closely with project and operations teams on escalation of key quality issues, leading incident investigation as required
• Ensures that Incident cases - SPI/IQF/NCR are properly investigated, documented, reviewed and LMT approved
• Provides and facilitates Plan Do Check Act (PDCA) quality management approach
• Directs quality performance review and trend analysis within the business and feedback to leadership team and supporting functions
• Collaborates with HSEQ Corporate team and installation delivery teams (CID,FID,TID) on company initiatives and predictable performance intentions
• Provides quality resource and supports to vessel and equipment teams as required
• Management and delivery of the audit programme
• Supports input and development of quality assurance and control strategy for tenders
• Supports the quality team in meaningful engagement with risk and opportunities management
• Supports the quality team’s responsive engagement, recording and sharing of lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle
• Attends meetings with leadership team and project & operations management team
• Monitors customer satisfaction and address issues as necessary
• Facilities quality local management team (QLMT) incident case review meetings
• Provides support on the development and maintenance of business management system
What experience would we like you to have?
• Experienced projects and operations professional in managerial role(s)
• Degree level qualification or equivalent experience
• Previous experience in supervision and mentoring of personnel within a team structure
• In-depth EPCI projects background and extensive knowledge and understanding of the quality discipline within the Renewables / Oil and Gas sector
• Extensive working knowledge in contractual mechanisms, legislation and standards as relevant to the UK Renewables / Oil and Gas Industry
• Proficient organisational, communication, IT literacy and report writing skills
• Previous experience presenting at Senior Management Level
• Qualified and experienced Lead Auditor
• Significant incident management and investigation experience
• Good problem-solving skills, with a practical and systematic working approach
