We are looking for a Tender Engineering Team Lead to join our team in our Aberdeen, or Zoetermeer offices. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on some of the world’s largest current and upcoming Offshore Wind Farm tenders. Reporting to the Group Project Engineering Manager you will be supporting tenders for the Offshore Wind Farm construction works of large-scale Foundations, Cables and EPCI scopes. Experience in similar installation scopes is considered essential to this role.

 

What will you be doing?

 

  • Providing Engineering support to deliver the technical content for tenders associated with large scale and complex offshore construction projects in an exciting and innovative market with a high focus on risks and opportunities to attain the desired outcomes for Seaway7 and our Clients.

 

  • Interface with multiple technical specialist disciplines to ensure that the correct functions are deployed onto the tender at the right times .

 

  • Coordinate the activities of the engineering technical leads ensuring a consistent approach to the technical strategy and deliverables for the tender

 

  • Be the engineering focal point, ensuring the tender process is utilised, reviewed and any changes communicated to the tender engineering teams.

 

  • Maintain and communicate best practice and lessons learned from across multiple tenders as well as from operational and fully delivered projects to stakeholders.

 

  • Prepare for and chair bi-weekly tender update meetings to the engineering functions.

 

  • Support the Seaway7 Engineering Leadership Team in driving continuous improvement and the implementation of focus areas and goals.

 

  • Ensure all tenders are subject to the required reviews throughout the tendering process

 

  • Liaise with Tendering Managers to understand the current and future resource requirements on Tenders and communicate timely information to the engineering resource planner and other stakeholders.

 

  • Maintain Tender Engineering KPIs and norms, encouraging the use of standardised deliverables (method statements, qualifications, etc) to optimise tender delivery.

 

What experience would we like you to have?

 

  • Engineering degree qualified or demonstrable relevant experience.

 

  • Evidence of leading engineering packages in offshore renewable energy or similar offshore-related industries such as oil and gas.

 

  • Ability to prioritise own and others’ workload, managing both time and change control effectively.

 

  • A problem solving, results focussed mentality

 

  • Capable communicator through a variety of mediums (verbal, written etc)

 

  • Striving for continuous professional development of self and others.
