The Floating Wind Business Unit is a corporate team based in Suresnes office, France. This BU is dedicated to the development of floating offshore wind across the Seaway7 Regions. Its mission is to support the commercial team, studies, tenders and projects together with the development & consolidation of technical knowledge.

 

This Business Unit is looking for a Senior Installation Methods engineer for a full-time staff role in Suresnes to strengthen its support to Studies/Tenders/Projects related to the installation of floating wind systems such as Floaters, Turbines, Moorings and Cables. This role reports Functionally to the Technical Program Manager for Seaway7 and Operationally to the Lead Floating Wind Installation Engineer.

 

What you will be doing

 

  • Perform and/or coordinate installation engineering for studies/tenders/projects (e.g. feasibility assessment, method statement, time estimate, databook, competition screening, …) in a timely manner and within budget.
  • Manage the interfaces in relation to the installation engineering scope.
  • Proactively highlight complex issues and propose solutions.
  • Provide support to offshore operations with possible periods offshore or on yard.
  • Proactively participate in the Floating Wind BU knowledge building, by consolidating studies/ tenders/projects and implementing lessons learnt.
  • Ensure regular reporting to the Lead Engineer.
  • Promote Seaway7 HSEQ culture.

 

What you will bring to the team

  • 5 years+ of experience within installation engineering in offshore industry (O&G and/or Renewable offshore business): towing, mooring, power cable or similar
  • Ability to have a critical mind and isolate core issues within complex problems.
  • Ability to propose innovative solutions.
  • Autonomous, Proactive and flexible mindset.
  • Fully conversant in English verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
