About the role
We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our team at our office in Leer (Germany) or at the site in Eemshaven (The Netherlands).
As a Logistics Coordinator you will have an integral part in planning, coordinating, and monitoring the global transport of cargo and equipment. Reporting to the Logistics and Warehousing Lead, you will ensure seamless operations, foster collaboration across departments, and optimise logistics solutions while maintaining compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and administer worldwide cargo and equipment transports.
- Prepare export documentation and coordinate with customs agents and authorities.
- Foster seamless cross-departmental (Project Operations, Offshore Resources, etc) collaboration and liaise with external partners for optimized logistics solutions.
- Ensure compliance with company standards while implementing cost-saving measures.
- Address logistics-related concerns or queries from stakeholders in a professional and collaborative manner.
- Prepare and review export shipping documentation in accordance with destination-specific requirements.
- Coordinate with customs agents, declarants, and local authorities customs-related issues and resolve related issues or delays.
- Collaborate with freight forwarders and logistics service providers to optimize transportation logistics.
- Provide expert advice on logistics strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
- Identify potential logistics risks or challenges and propose solutions to mitigate them.
- Implement measures to optimize logistics costs without compromising quality or delivery timelines.
- Participate in the development and implementation of logistics-related policies and procedures.
- Share knowledge and best practices with team members to enhance overall logistics capabilities.
- Collect and analyse relevant data to assess logistics performance against predetermined KPIs.

- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience in logistics coordination.
- Comprehensive understanding of supply chain management (including procurement), international transportation, warehousing, and customs.
- Knowledge of local and international regulations governing the transport of goods, including customs procedures, import/export regulations, transport documents, dangerous goods, and safety standards.
- Ability to prioritize various tasks across different activities, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain attention to detail in day-to-day business.
- High negotiation and communication skills, with fluency in English.
- Proactive, resourceful, and problem-solving mindset with a hands-on attitude.
- Willingness to travel as required.
