About the Role

 

Seaway7 is seeking a knowledgeable Seabed Intervention Manager to lead our geoscience and seabed engineering activities within the Engineering Function. This is a pivotal role in shaping the technical strategy, managing resources, and advancing excellence in offshore wind foundation and cable installation projects.

 

You will be responsible for developing your team’s technical capabilities and transferable skills, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the highest standards. Your expertise will help us manage ground risk effectively and maintain our reputation for safe, efficient, and innovative seabed intervention solutions.

 

This position may be based in our Zoetermeer or Aberdeen office and is offered on a full time permanent basis. 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Technical Leadership:

  • Define and implement technical strategy for seabed intervention activities.
  • Oversee survey acquisition planning and execution, ensuring robust QC of geophysical and geotechnical data processing.
  • Identify and mitigate geohazards and ground condition risks impacting offshore wind developments.

 

Team Development:

  • Lead and inspire a team of geoscience professionals, cultivating growth in technical and transferable skills.
  • Provide clear goals, constructive feedback, and career development opportunities.

 

Resource Planning:

  • Plan engineering resources (people and tasks) to meet project deadlines.
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.

 

Industry Engagement:

  • Stay ahead of industry trends and best practices in offshore renewables.
  • Understand foundation and cable installation processes and their contractual risk implications.

What We're Looking For

Education:

  • A degree in Geoscience or a related field, with a solid grasp of fundamental principles.

 

Experience:

  • Proven geoscience industry experience in survey acquisition, data analysis, or design works.
  • Knowledge of geohazards and their impact on offshore wind farm development.
  • Commercial awareness of ground risk, including foreseen and unforeseen conditions.
  • Construction experience in offshore wind projects

 

Leadership: 

  • Demonstrable line management experience and ability to set vision and strategy.

 

Planning: 

  • Skilled in resource allocation and project management.
