POSITION PURPOSE STATEMENT:

The role of Snr ROV Systems Tech has primary responsibility for the Delivery of ROV Systems and Components ensuring that maintenance, repair & servicing of equipment is completed safely and efficiently.

 MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Managing and planning the maintenance activities of ROV systems and associated equipment.
  • Ensuring equipment is maintained and in compliance with all technical and project requirements.
  • Uses logical fault-finding techniques during technical faults experienced during maintenance and testing.
  • Assists in the identification and ordering of suitable spare parts to ensure they are available when required.
  • Ensures that all work is completed safely, and all works are performed in line with Subsea 7 processes and procedures.
  • Compiles and maintains technical records, reports and logs using the workshop i7 request system & SAP.
  • Provision of technical information and certification to administration team to enable SAP equipment reports to be updated.
  • Interface with other workshop disciplines as and when required.
  • Maintains and promotes a safe working environment within the department and the company.
  • Ensures Workshop Manager is updated on all aspects of assigned jobs and system deliverables are always on target.
  • Ensures that resource and planning is always considered to meet the equipment deliverable dates.
  • Ensures Workshop areas are maintained to a high standard with a focus on organised uncluttered work areas to minimise risk of personal injury.
  • May be required to perform any other necessary duties within their experience and capabilities

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Qualifications and Education:

  • Good general level of education
  • Completion of a recognised Mechanical or Electrical apprenticeship

Desirable:

  • Further Education HNC in relevant subject
  • Hydraulic Technician Level II
  • COMPEX
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

Skills and Experience:

Technical:

  • Good level of knowledge on a wide range of ROV systems
  • Previous ROV workshop or offshore experience
  • Previous experience in ROV Mobilisations
  • Experience on planning workshop activities and scheduling resources to meet deadlines
  • PC literate and proficient in Microsoft software applications

Interpersonal:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, builds and maintains strong internal/external business relationships at all levels
  • Collaborative team worker
  • Flexible approach and positive attitude

Self-Management:

  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload (Essential)
