The active fleet comprises ten vessels with two more high-specification assets, designed for the installation of next generation of wind turbine generators and foundations, under construction.

Our HSEQ department is responsible for the coordination of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality related matters on corporate and project level and we are looking for a seasoned QC Manager. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Seaway7 Leadership Team to inform, influence and enforce employers requirements, employer’s quality requirements, specifications and AFC design as well as Seaway7 values, vision and strategy.
  • Provide leadership of our office based and site quality activities, supply chain audit and approval for selection and coordination of site quality teams working globally.
  • Be responsible for implementation of QA and QC systems, programs and activities for coaching, communication, collaborating and challenging to realise consistency, compliance and conformity.
  • Contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture within Seaway7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices.
  • Review of Fabricator data and documentation deliverables and ensure compliance with contract requirements and technical compliance to the relevant codes and standards.
  • Ensure “as-built” documentation is tightly aligned with the project schedule dates throughout project execution – build, completion, and load-out activities.
  • Advise the project management in selecting the proper quality control measures at specified stages in project execution.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers both external and internal, sub-contractors, suppliers, identify opportunities for the company and ensure customer needs are addressed.
  • Provide QC input in the Win process and ensures adequate follow-up.
  • Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Participate in the setup and/or revision of inspection test plans
  • Assist in the writing and updating QA/QC procedures, protocols and checklists.
  • Responsible for company certification regarding quality requirements for welding (e.g. EN ISO 3834-2, EN 1090-2).
  • Ensure that QC/Welding activities are performed to project requirements and/or codes and international standards.
  • Prepare, review, evaluate and monitor project related QC/Welding documentation (e.g. Welders, WPS, materials, WPQ, NDE, and Dimensional), including subcontractor’s project related documents and requirements.
  • Review and management of quality reporting – performance delivery, KPI’s, NCR, Improvement Plans, Audits, etc.
  • Ensure external structural fabrication meets project /purchase order requirements.
  • Conduct and document process and system audits using written procedures as audit standards
  • Technical understanding of national and international codes and standards (ISO, EEMUA, ASME, AWS, etc).
  • Act as a focal point for QC/Welding related questions and ensures maintenance of applicable QC/Welding information on codes and standards.

Capability profile / Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years in QC/Welding Engineering experience
  • IWT required 
  • Multi-tasking / flexible.
  • Can-do mentality and independent worker.
  • Collaboration / team worker
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good computer skills (MS Office).
  • Good command of verbal and written English.
