Role:  Financial Accountant

Subsea7 has a vacancy for a financial accountant in the fast growing region of GOM, reporting to the Finance manager.

The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of project and statutory accounting, will handle multiple concurrent tasks and be part of a dynamic finance team tasked to develop a strong function suited to the growth profile of the region.

Main responsibilities:

  • Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Month end close cycle
  • Statutory statistical reporting
  • Review and approval of new/change vendor requests
  • Preparation of Tax supporting schedules
  • Fixed Assets Verification
  • Overhead and Other Operating Cost forecast – both locally and in coordination with the UK Financial Reporting Centre
  • Support budget preparation
  • Preparation and consolidation of Monthly Sales and Marketing cost and forecast report
  • Provide cover and support processing of Accounts Payable Invoices and Employee Expenses
  • Accounting for minor Capital Expenditure projects
  • Preparation/consolidation of monthly Finance Report
  • Local internal audit validation
  • Ad hoc reporting and support as required

Qualification/Experience:

  • University/college graduate
  • Experience and knowledge of general accounting principles ( IFRS; GAAP)
  • Minimum five years’ experience in General Accounting role
  • Experience of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of SAP and consolidation reporting tool an advantage
