The active fleet comprises ten vessels with two more high-specification assets, designed for the installation of next generation of wind turbine generators and foundations, under construction.

Seaway 7 have an opportunity for a Legal Counsel / Contract Manager to join our team on a permanent basis in our Vejle, Zoetermeer, Leer or Aberdeen office.

SPECIFIC KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES

As Legal Counsel/Contract Manager you will – with report to the Head of Legal – Sales & Tendering – become a member of a highly dedicated and skilled legal team with exposure to clients and projects around the world, As Legal Counsel/Contract Manager your key responsibilities would be to provide legal and contractual support, such as:

  • Reviewing, negotiating and drafting all sorts of commercial contracts (construction contracts, engineering contracts, joint venture contracts, etc.), including evaluation against Seaway 7’s contracting policies and drafting of commercial and contractual clarifications for presentation in Seaway 7’s proposals to clients.
  • Analyzing (public and private) tender documents and identifying all and any possible legal aspects (contractual exposures, liabilities, etc.) and providing hands-on advice as to these issues
  • Prepare master service agreements and other subcontracts
  • Providing practical legal advice on a large scope of legal questions related to all Seaway 7’s activities
  • Carry out other in-house legal related tasks when required such as e.g. review of NDA’s, supply contracts, etc.
  • You will work together and report to the Head of Legal – Sales & Tendering.

Qualifications:

  • You hold an educational background as e.g., Master of Law, Master of Science in Business Administration & Commercial or similar educational background combined with professional experience from a similar position
  • Hold experience within private practice and/or in-house with exposure to renewable energy, preferably in the offshore wind industry or similar complex industries
  • Knowledge of standard industry standard templates, such as FIDIC, BIMCO and LOGIC as well as knowledge of a variety of contract documentation such as, framework agreements, supply contracts, JV and partnership, NDA’s, etc.
  • Good understanding of construction terminology, progress calculation methods, programmes of work and project timelines
  • Ability to work in cross-functional and international teams
  • You possess excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing
