With capabilities and an extensive expertise in project management, engineering, procurement and fabrication, Seaway 7 can deliver these services in a comprehensive array of contractual structures including Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (EPCI), (integrated) Transportation & Installation (T&I) and Balance of Plant (BoP) to our clients in the offshore wind industry.

Together we operate a high-end fleet with enabling capabilities and scale, allowing efficient worldwide operations, while providing vessel flexibility and optionality to clients. The active fleet comprises ten vessels with two more high-specification assets, designed for the installation of next generation of wind turbine generators and foundations, under construction.

We are looking for fulltime Lead Engineers to join our Engineering Department in our offices in either Aberdeen, Oslo or Zoetermeer.

The Lead Engineer coordinates and ensures quality of calculations and development of methods and procedures for installing, removing and transporting large offshore structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and coordinate procedures, methods, drawings, etc. for various phases of the work
  • Resolve technical queries and recommend solutions to engineering problems
  • Review calculations on project related subjects such as rigging, padeyes, seafastening, barge grillages etc
  • Ensure compliancy with engineering standards and relevant codes
  • Liaise with other departments and participate in project meetings
  • Supervise and provide guidance to Structural Engineers with respect to calculation methods and procedures

Capability Profile / Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor (HTS) / Master level (Civil Engineering, Offshore Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent)
  • Extensive and relevant previous working experience in an offshore construction environment
  • Experience in the offshore construction industry is a must
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written
  • Team player
  • Flexible and hands-on mentality
  • Willing to travel abroad to sites and sometimes offshore to our vessels
