POSITION OVERVIEW

This newly created role, working within a fast-paced multiple project environment, will advise on and influence the development of process improvements within our Pipeline Group (PG) business unit.

The key objective is to develop and complete a QA plan that not only safeguards the quality of our PG products, but also fosters a “Quality Culture,” in which all employees become actively engaged in guaranteeing quality in both production and the finished product.

The QA Advisor works within a wider multi-disciplined HSEQ team and as such Inspection, Welding and Pipeline knowledge is not essential. 

Applications are welcomed from candidates seeking to operate at Advisor level, who demonstrate transferrable role relevant skills.  These include compliance, gap analysis, and devising process improvements, along with a significant understanding of ISO 9001 standards and principles.

Role and Responsibilities

To provide support and advice with regards to the use of professional Quality tools, principles and objectives to quality department and business functions alike.  Responsible for ensuring the PG element of the management system adheres with Global ISO 9001 Certification requirements, and playing a significant role to deliver a Predictable Performance and Outcome

The role will assist with the collation and maintenance of audit schedule, critical group and function quality assurance related tasks and requirements, identifying process improvements, improvements and gap analysis within management system and functions. Duties include:

  • A significant understanding of ISO 9001 standards and principles
  • Interpret, build upon, and comply with company quality assurance standards
  • Ensure compliance with all Quality policies, process and procedures.
  • Ensure application of all Quality policies, process and procedures by Functions to deliver a Predictable Performance and Outcome
  • Assist and advise project personnel in all matters relating to the application and implementation of the company management system on projects.
  • Utilise the knowledge management tools available to assist Quality to capitalise from Lessons Learned and to perform in accordance with best practice, striving to mitigate risk, promoting safety and integrity consistently.
  • Investigating and reporting incidents relating to cost of loss and identifying the failings in the Quality system leading to this loss.
  • Remedy of Quality System failings to ensure repetition of failings is eliminated
  • Promote continual improvement and quality awareness within projects, functions and departments.
  • Quality Plan development, maintenance, and implementation.
  • Regular review and audit of Quality plan implementation
  • Supplier Quality Requirements development, maintenance and implementation in sub-contracts.
  • Supplier risk / criticality assessments.
  • Project audit evaluation, creation of risk-based audit schedule and perform audits (internal and suppliers).
  • Site visits as required (Subsea 7 sites or suppliers).
  • Non-conformity maintenance and tracking, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Tender support activities and management of tender deviations to Quality System.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant functional policies, process and procedures
  • Provide quality input to the Project CTR (cost time resources) process by evaluation of and responses to Client requirements.
  • Support Business Improvement activities and initiatives within Pipeline Group.
  • Utilise the knowledge management tools available to assist Pipeline Group to capitalise from Lessons Learned and to perform in accordance with best practice, striving to mitigate risk, promoting safety and integrity consistently.
  • Identify training needs and take action to ensure company-wide compliance.
  • Pursue continuing education on new solutions, technology, and skills.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • Recognised Quality or business-related qualification.
  • Industry approved lead auditor training with relevant experience of auditing, reporting and effective follow-up.
  • Established Quality Management knowledge and practical experience.
  • Experience in the application of Quality Systems in a large Project Delivery Environment, and devising improvements.
  • Experience of resource planning, data input, and report writing.
  • IT literate, experienced in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
