POSITION DESCRIPTION

Subsea 7 has a requirement for a Tax Associate to join its Tax Compliance and Reporting (TC&R) Team based in Aberdeen, UK. This is anticipated as a development role.

The TC&R team of 5 supports the business in respect of corporate tax compliance and reporting for over 50 entities across more than 15 countries.

Reporting to a Tax Manager within the team, the successful candidate will assist the team in meeting the tax compliance and reporting obligations for these UK entities and overseas entities. 

MAIN DUTIES

  • Preparing analysis of financial information from SAP for various tax deliverables, including but not limited to transfer pricing files, tax computations and quarterly reporting.
  • Assisting with the preparation of tax computations and supporting files.
  • Assisting with the preparation of tax reporting packs for quarterly and year end reporting.
  • Arranging and dealing with tax payments.
  • Applying for certificates of residence and double tax treaty passports.
  • Preparation of WHT returns.
  • Filing and storing of correspondence.
  • Undertaking relevant tax research
  • Documenting and maintaining internal policies, risk registers etc.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL

  • Educated to degree level (2:1 or above)
  • Good quality accurate analysis and analytical review
  • Proficient in MS Excel

PREFERRED

  • Already pursuing and/or a willingness to pursue a recognised Professional Accountancy Qualification.
  • Able to demonstrate a general understanding of International Accounting Standards and corporate tax principles.
  • Ability to run reports and data extraction for input into excel models.
