With capabilities and an extensive expertise in project management, engineering, procurement and fabrication, Seaway 7 can deliver these services in a comprehensive array of contractual structures including Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (EPCI), (integrated) Transportation & Installation (T&I) and Balance of Plant (BoP) to our clients in the offshore wind industry.

Together we operate a high-end fleet with enabling capabilities and scale, allowing efficient worldwide operations, while providing vessel flexibility and optionality to clients. The active fleet comprises ten vessels with two more high-specification assets, designed for the installation of next generation of wind turbine generators and foundations, under construction.

We are looking for Installation Engineers who can be based in our office in Aberdeen, Oslo or Zoetermeer, on a full-time, staff basis

As an Installation Engineer you will support project teams with calculation and the development of methods and procedures for installing, removing and transporting offshore constructions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform installation engineering activities such as: rigging design, making method statements and (standard) task plans for offshore installations.
  • Prepare and review Offshore Execution Procedures.
  • Prepare subcontractor scopes of work and review of subcontractor and client provided procedures.
  • Plan assigned tasks and keep project team informed on progress and any deviations.
  • Liaise with those necessary to comply with the task and participate in project meetings.
  • Resolve technical queries and recommend solutions to engineering problems related to installation engineering.
  • Ensure compliancy with engineering standards and relevant codes.

Capability profile / Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor (HTS) / Master level (Civil Engineering, Offshore Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent).
  • Some previous working experience in a project/construction related environment in an Installation Engineering based role is a pre-requisite. 
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
  • Team player.
  • Flexible and hands-on mentality.
  • Willing to travel abroad to sites and sometimes offshore to our vessels.
