The active fleet comprises ten vessels with two more high-specification assets, designed for the installation of next generation of wind turbine generators and foundations, under construction.
We are looking for a Proposal Manager for our Proposal department which is responsible for all aspects of the preparation, submission and clarification of proposals.
Key responsibilities:
- Act as primary contact for clients during the tendering phase from receipt of ITT (Invitation to Tender) until signing of the contract.
- Interpret clients ITT documents including specifications and drawings etc. to establish the required understanding of all aspects of the project.
- Define the proposal strategy.
- Lead proposal coordinators.
- Responsible for preparation of effective installation and/or removal procedures and methods.
- Liaise with Subcontract Manager(s) and help prepare requests for quotations from potential subcontractors.
- Evaluate and incorporate subcontractor proposals into Seaway Heavy Lifting’s proposals.
- Coordinate input from other departments within the organisation.
- Prepare cost estimates in cooperation with cost estimators.
- Prepare proposal evaluation packs.
- Follow up on proposals related queries received from clients.
- Prepare proposal submissions and assure successful follow-up.
- Responsible for the clarifications and contract negotiations
Capability profile / Qualifications:
- A BSc or MSc degree in engineering (preferably in Mechanical, Civil of Offshore Engineering).
- At least 3 years of experience in an engineering position in the offshore installation industry.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in a hands-on managerial role in relevant offshore or engineering tendering.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Well-developed social, influencing and negotiating skills.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Strong time management skills and ability to set and meet deadlines.
- Excellent command of the English language.
- Proactive, positive and flexible.
- Willing and able to travel
- Used to working with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
