Finance Manager

Location: Saudi Arabia

Within Africa, Middle East & Caspian region (AMEC), we safely execute Subsea and Conventional projects which connect seabed wellhead infrastructures to surface facilities such as platforms and floating production systems. We are actively present in a significant number of countries in Africa, Europe, Caspian Sea, Middle East and Asia.

 

DESCRIPTION OF ROLE

 

The Finance Manager assists with the maintenance of accounting records in compliance with local and group regulations in an efficient and effective manner.

All personnel are expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture within Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices.

All personnel are also expected to contribute to creating a culture of ethics and integrity within Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to our Code of Conduct.

 

POSITION OVERVIEW

Generic Key Responsibilities & Activities

Finance Objectives

  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of monthly, quarterly and year end finance reporting deliverables
  • Compliance with statutory filing obligations for Saudi Arabia
  • Annual returns
  • Audited financial statements
  • Direct / Indirect tax returns
  • Local content
  • Providing financial input to presentations for use at management and board meeting.

Treasury Management

  • Reduce DSO and improve cashflow in conjunction with project management
  • Collaboration with Treasury management to improve client invoicing process
  • Liaise with local bank for guarantees issuance with Client / Custom

Process Improvement

  • Development of project accounting knowledge within the cost control team (ie. to develop a consistent approach across projects for inefficiencies / avoidable costs)
  • Providing technical guidance to the designated finance functions on IFRS issues, disclosure items, group procedures, new accounting standards and complex accounting matters.
  • Assisting in the development of Group wide systems and controls and digitalization of existing process

Team development

  • Supports the development of team members, through clearly understood roles, responsibilities and performance objectives, regular feedback and continual professional training
  • Allocate resources to optimize the output and efficiencies of financial reporting for Saudi Arabia entity and Consortium

 

AUTHORITY/DIMENSIONS

  • Operate within the Code of Conduct
  • Operate according to Subsea 7's Management Principles
  • Support standards and procedures for the Finance Function

KEY QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • Candidates must have experience with IKTIVA
  • Candidates must have interface with ZATCA
  • Experience & familiar in interfacing with Aramco system (Project Control Deptartment)
  • Experience with consortium financial interface.
  • Graduate degree in Accounting or Finance or equivelant
  • Professionally qualified accountant
  • Relevant previous experience at an appropriate level in the subsea or offshore environment
  • Proven management experience
