Seaway 7 – Heavy Lifting division - Aberdeen

As a Graduate Engineer in Seaway 7 you will be working within the Heavy Lifting division which is responsible for the transportation and installation of foundations and substations of fixed offshore wind farms.

The position provides a variety of engineering experiences including project execution spanning from detailed design engineering to opportunities to work offshore. The company has a focus on developing both installation and structural engineers within the engineering department.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Under direct supervision you will assist with production of deliverables, which may include design calculations and analysis, or the production of reports, specifications, and procedures.
  • You will be supported to consolidate your engineering knowledge, including working knowledge of design codes and standards, legislative requirements, and current best engineering practice.
  • You will address design parameters and problems; and develop and implement solutions.

You will also be expected to:

  • Become aware of all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements.
  • Recognise the objectives for professional development and strive to achieve development goals.

 Our graduates typically have one of the following degrees:

  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Civil Engineering
  • Structural Engineering
  • Naval Architecture

They are also expected to exhibit some of the following qualities and skills:

  • Flexible and proactive approach to changes and challenges
  • Ability to communicate with impact
  • Comfortable working in a team, as well as independently

This position is based in Westhill, Aberdeen and would start in September 2022.
