POSITION OVERVIEW

Seaway 7 has an exciting opportunity for an Operations Specialist on a full time, permanent basis. This position is to be primarily based out of our Zoetermeer office, with some travel required.

The Operations Specialist will operate as the main technical interface and knowledge base for technical/operational matters for the operations department between vessels, subcontractors, projects and internal departments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follows, guide and advises project management on behalf of operations for installation technical matters from pre-qualification to close out.
  • Participate in bid/project teams as technical matter expert. Including input delivery for: Business Acquisitions, Tenders Teams, Project Teams, Corporate Task Force and Corporate Standard Development.
  • Establishes standards for safe and effective operations taking into account technical requirements and weighs stakeholder requirements.
  • Provide operational requirements and advice for developing project and corporate procedures. Develop and maintain lessons learned and insure implementation.
  • Signs interdisciplinary checks on behalf of operations department. Prepare Gate Review for Management Team with Project Team.
  • Maintain operations technical procedures and standards.
  • Ensure installation and transportation procedures maintain focused on safe and effective installation/transportation methods.
  • Provide installation and transportation requirements to subcontractors on behalf of operations.
  • Guide operations representatives in best work practice (i.e. superintendents assigned to yards, project engineers performing yard or pre departure checks, inspectors performing on-hire or equipment surveys).
  • Coordinate management of change in case standard offshore operational boundaries are challenged for project purposes or a major change is required offshore on an approved and agreed procedure while offshore.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum secondary vocational level of education (technical).
  • Several years’ experience in on/offshore engineering within Oil & Gas.
  • Certified Lifting Supervisor.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, builds and maintains strong internal/external business relationships at all levels.
  • Good command of verbal and written English and Dutch.
  • Proficient in the use of IT applications, including MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent planning, coordination and organisational skills.
  • Approachable, demonstrates credibility and can engage and influence at all levels.
