The active fleet comprises ten vessels with two more high-specification assets, designed for the installation of next generation of wind turbine generators and foundations, under construction.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Seaway 7 are looking to recruit an Electrical Engineer. Reporting to the Technical Manager, this position will can be based out of either our Zoetermeer or Oslo offices. We are willing to consider both staff and contract applications.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Acts as technical expert on E&I related matters whenever required. Advises Technical Superintendents and Technical Crew. Advises and assists other departments for the execution of projects. Participates in design, engineering, commissioning and testing of assets.
  • Support Technical Superintendents and inspectors in the execution of their duties with regard to planning and executing maintenance of assigned Technical Asset.
  • Monitors and analyses performance of assigned Technical Asset with regard to E&I.
  • Assists in ensuring compliancy with all relevant classifications, statutory requirements and international legislation.
  • Contributes to future development of department with other departments within Seaway.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFCIATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject matter or comparable education.
  • Several years’ work experience within the offshore industry.
  • Knowledge of HV/LV power generation, distribution and drive systems.
  • Knowledge of industrial networks, PLC and other control systems.
  • Knowledge of applicable marine and offshore regulations and industry standards.
  • Knowledge of planned maintenance systems (such as AMOS).

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, builds and maintains strong internal/external business relationships at all levels.
  • Good command of English.
  • Proficient in the use of IT applications, including MS Office Suite.
  • Adaptable and pro–active with a structured and methodical approach to tasks, with ability to deliver under pressure.
  • Excellent planning, co-ordination and organisational skills.
