Project Installation Engineer

Location: Paris-France

Within Africa, Middle East & Caspian region (AMEC), we safely execute Subsea and Conventional projects which connect seabed wellhead infrastructures to surface facilities such as platforms and floating production systems. We are actively present in a significant number of countries in Africa, Europe, Caspian Sea, Middle East and Asia.

 

DESCRIPTION OF ROLE

We are looking for a Project Installation Engineer to be part of our Department "Installation Methods Engineering" within the AMEC (Africa, Middle East & Caspian Sea) region. You will be responsible for the installation of subsea structures, mooring systems, risers systems, flexible flowlines and/or umbilicals. You prepare the mission and then support the offshore crew during the operation. You will insure the interface with the Client, the suppliers, the offshore crew and the design team.

 

SPECIFIC KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • To produce all documents and preliminary studies related to tenders and projects developed by the Group,
  • To take responsibility for the installation of one or more product(s) on a Project,
  • To perform the engineering activities related to the preparation and Offshore installation of the products,
  • To plan, prepare and confirm the specific procedures (validation tests on site, transportation and installation) and associated calculation notes (design lifting slings) defining priorities,
  • To bring technical expertise during the procurement process, and confirm the project's progress at interim meetings with your Lead,
  • To participate to vessel/CB mobilization as well as installation phases on vessel to validate technical solutions by respecting the rules of the Group HSEQ,
  • To warrant that your activities are conducted in compliance with the Project standards in terms of Quality, Cost & Time,
  • To support the development of computational tools and organize technology watch.

ORGANISATION STRUCTURE

  • AMEC Engineering –Installation Engineering Group.

CAPABILITY PROFILE – KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND BEHAVIOURS

  • Engineering Degree with at least 3 years minimum of relevant work experience in the petroleum sector or an equivalent industry.
  • You have a good knowledge of structures, Flexible Flowlines and Umbilicals Installation and have already an Experience of Offshore Operations.
  • Your autonomy, your capacity to coordinate and communicate are key assets to succeed at this position.
  • Your English is fluent.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Majority of the work is carried out in the Home office site.
  • Requirement for some international travel.
  • Offshore/Off-site location during project execution phases as required.
