Hook-Up & System Completion Manager

Location: Paris, France

Within Africa, Middle East & Caspian region (AMEC), we safely execute Subsea and Conventional projects which connect seabed wellhead infrastructures to surface facilities such as platforms and floating production systems. We are actively present in a significant number of countries in Africa, Europe, Caspian Sea, Middle East and Asia.

 

DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTION

The Hook-up & System Completion Manager is in charge of all the activities related to Hook-Up, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning up to final acceptance of the work.

He is accountable for the safe execution of this scope as per Project quality and specification requirements. He is responsible to organize and coordinate all works to be perform for pre-commissioning commissioning activities (onshore and offshore), for offshore hook-up construction campaign.

The main responsibilities will be to provide execution plan, supervise work pack and job card preparation, schedule; definition of resources plan, Procurement Plan for equipment and tools, identify sub-contract scope of work, identify marine spread requirement, interface between Company, Fabrication, System Completion and Offshore Construction stakeholders.

The Hook-up & System Completion Manager responsibility is to ensure any relevant tasks related to HU & SC activities are performed safely, smoothly within high quality and as per oil & gas safety standards during the progress of the project.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Endorse the Client project/tender specification.
  • Endorse all relevant engineering documents (PFD, P&ID, Isometric, electrical SLD, all item lists, datasheet, cause and effects…).
  • Supply hook-up technical expertise for the project/tender
  • Support and coordinate HU&SC during the Engineering preparation phase
  • Support and coordinate the offshore execution phase
  • Define recruitment plan and interface with Project Operation Manager
  • Participate to selection of the hook-up support vessel and spread on the project
  • Organise the hook-up kick-off meeting of the project.
  • Ensure development of hook-up specific project procedures, work sequences, man-hours estimate, planning development, MOB/DEMOB plans for the project.
  • Define procurement requirement and follow-up HU & SC equipment, materials, consumables, sub-contracted services, vendors.
  • Perform site visits as required
  • Fabrication sites follow-up and coordination with offshore worksite
  • Ensure the preparation of redline document is correctly captured for as built dossier
  • Compile lessons learnt

AUTHORITY/DIMENSIONS

  • Responsibility for the overall health, safety, quality and welfare of self and colleagues. Proactive participation in project safety briefings, HIRA’s and toolbox talks.
  • Financial / Commercial Authority: As per Subsea 7’s Authorisation Level Matrix
  • Ensures the deliverables are issued as per Subsea7’s procedures,
  • Ensures technical and contractual discussions with stakeholders take place in a professional and ethical manner.
  • Act as team leader/mentor for the Hook-Up and SC team members.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Engineering Degree associated with Mechanical, Civil, Offshore or Marine disciplines.
  • Experience in management.
  • Hook Up and Completion knowledge and background.
  • Ability to take decision on technical concerns and documentation development.
  • 15 years’ experience in oil & gas industry especially with offshore topside works including revamping and retrofit.
  • Technical knowledge on equipment, materials.
  • General IT skills in Word, Excel, Access, MS project
  • Multi-discipline knowledge: piping, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, hydraulic, pneumatic…
  • Fluent in English Language – speaking & writing.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Majority of the work is carried out in the Home office site,
  • Requirement for some international travel,
  • Offshore/Off-site location during project execution phases as required.
