OVERVIEW OF ROLE

Subsea 7 are looking to recruit an Asset Controller based out of our Aberdeen, Greenwell site on a full-time permanent basis.

The Asset Controller is primarily responsible for the service, repair and supply of assigned equipment & spares, working closely with designated Mobile asset groups, project teams and workshop sites to ensure Subsea 7 vessels and projects are supplied with the required equipment & spares maintained to Subsea 7’s standards & processes. 

Specific Key Responsibilities & Activities

  • Work as part of a small team to ensure work allocated is delivered in a timely manner and to the required quality standards in line with company procedures.
  • Manage minimum quantity levels of serviceable equipment and critical spares in support of operational worksites and system preparation. Minimum stock levels to be discussed and identified in conjunction with Equipment owner and operational support teams.
  • Advise Equipment owner of any equipment shortfalls/discrepancies, advise on availability, options and make recommendations to rectify.
  • Assist equipment owners with budget review to ensure suitable budgets are available, to maintain minimum agreed serviceable equipment/spares levels.
  • Build a good working relationship with asset owners, Co-Ordinator’s/administrators & workshop departments.
  • Maintain Base Locations for SAP equipment during storage and movements within the Services Storage area & base.
  • Allocate new SAP equipment numbers to new assets when required using Master Data Request process, also ensure RFID tags are fitted.
  • Carry out annual Asset Verifications checks of equipment as per list supplied by OR Finance Department.
  • Implement the AFD (Approval for Disposal) when assets required to be scrapped or sold.
  • Ensure equipment location is tracked between base locations, storage areas, third part, vendors in conjunction with OR Equipment Co-Ordinator/Administrators.
  • Raise I7 rigging requests where required.
  • Assign Equipment to ETM booking where required.
  • Ensure both TM Master & EPMS maintenance systems are updated where required.
  • Advise equipment owners on any required technical change to master documentation i.e. Spec sheets, maintenance and operations manuals.
  • Create PR & reservations where required.
  • Arrange and manage 3rd Party repair/service/upgrade of designated equipment.
  • Manage approved equipment spares parts packages, ensure they are present and correct for new/upcoming and ongoing project hires.
  • Work with equipment owners to identify any items that become obsolete or part numbers that change to ensure updates are performed on the tracker and Master Spares list.
  • Any other reasonable requests as directed by line manager.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Focused, with a professional approach to work and the working environment
  • Works well in a team but also self-motivated to work on one’s own initiative.
  • As the Company conducts its International business in the English language, proficiency in verbal and written communication in English is essential.

KNOWLEDGE

  • Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge on maintenance systems i.e. SAP, SAP ETM & TM Master.
