Senior Supply Chain Coordinator  

Location: Sharjah- UAE

Within Africa, Middle East & Caspian region (AMEC), we safely execute Subsea and Conventional projects which connect seabed wellhead infrastructures to surface facilities such as platforms and floating production systems. We are actively present in a significant number of countries in Africa, Europe, Caspian Sea, Middle East and Asia.

 

DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTION

Lead SCM Post Award requirement for all the project permanent materials

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To be conversant with all relevant Company Procedures.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of materials in accordance to the Project Procurement Plan by coordinating with all the internal departments
  • Report any revised delivery schedules for critical/urgent orders to the Project SCM Manager
  • Attend Projects weekly meetings and give updated status of main or critical supplies
  • Ensure suppliers define a supply preparation plan to cover all phases of the preparation cycle (engineering, procurement, construction, inspection and preparation for shipment) in accordance with contract dates.
  • Furnishes reliable and up-to-date information on supply progress, controlling all phases of the preparation cycle, checking the punctuality of information exchange, promptly identifying potential delays, analysing the causes and proposing the corrective actions necessary to minimize any identified or anticipated deviations.
  • Ensures the correct materials’ receipt.
  • Co-operates to ensure the availability of liquidated damages for late delivery, if any.
  • Examines the order, taking the necessary steps to remove any potential cause that impedes management of the assigned order.
  • Coordinate inspection and logistics activities between supplier and concerned parties.
  • Authorize third party inspection agencies in accordance to Company Approval Matrixes for taking up inspection activities. Receive test results from inspection engineers and follow up approvals by QA/QC. Fix up inspection visits in coordination with suppliers. Review inspection report and verify for compliance with PO requirements in consultation with QA/QC and respective discipline.
  • Checks the exhaustiveness of the contractual, commercial and technical documents concerning the purchase order, so as to correctly define and plan the activities.
  • Checks for the presence of clauses affecting Expediting issues that modify the standard conditions.
  • Checks the contract delivery terms and the frequency of actions according to the level of critically assigned to the supply.
  • Takes note of the required document types and of the dates when these documents should be made available to the supplier.
  • Make inspections to Suppliers/Subcontractor's premises if and when required by the project team or the Supply Chain Manager/Material Lead
  • Checks the presence of constraints or particular technical provisions, special or onerous inspections that could represent problems, in order to respect the delivery dates.
  • Approves in the Electronic System any payment milestones, also if subjected to the delivery of technical documentation.
  • Archive reports and correspondence in accordance to the company Close-Out procedures.
  • File Expeditor copies of Purchase Orders.
  • Supervise, distribute work, delegate Project Expeditors In Singapore and in the other Project Locations, if any (i.e. Bangalore or Saudi Arabia
  • Daily Discuss and Coordinate with the Project Material Lead as well as the Project Supply Chain Manager
  • Follow Up the development of competencies, methodologies, techniques and tools for the SCM Expediting activities at Project Level
  • Assist Project Expeditors to negotiate with key suppliers whilst seeking ways to optimize added value and synergies between different packages and/or tenders
  • Ensure feedback and SUPPLIER PERFORMANCE EVALUATIONS upon completion of works for the project by use the Supplier performance assessment.

REQUIRMENTS

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Offshore Oil & Gas Sector specifically related to Pipeline and/or Platform Installation
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with Expediting Activities
  • Minimum 2 years experience in Middle East (UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, etc)
  • Minimum 1 project experience with Aramco as Final Client
  • Minimum 3 Years experience as Manager or Middle Manager
  • Preferably experience in the Expediting/QA/QC or Project Engineering of companies such as Technip, Acergy, Subsea 7, Saipem, McDermott, Swiber, NPCC, COOEC, Petrofac etc
  • Graduated with an Engineering degree. 
  • Microsoft Access, Excel, Power Point, Primavera
  • Availability to travel to Vendors Premises for short periods of time (up to 2 weeks) or Project Locations such as India and Middle East (up to periods of maximum 1 month)
