We are looking to hire ROV Tooling Technician.

This will be based on day rate contract. 

 

OVERVIEW OF ROLE

The Tooling Technician has the primary responsibility for the maintenance and repair of the subsea tooling, implementation and monitoring of technical procedures and reporting, work management and execution and supervision of tooling personnel and tooling tasks.

The Tooling Technician is required to support decommissioning operations using a range of equipment including, but are not limited to, Diamond Wire Saws, Shear Cutters, Grapples, ILT’s and Dredge Systems.

All personnel are expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture within Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices.

All personnel are also expected to contribute to creating a culture of ethics and integrity within Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to our Code of Conduct.

 

Specific Key Responsibilities & Activities

  • Detailed briefing of relief Tooling Technician before leaving operation site, or upon demobilisation providing written fault/maintenance report to assist Base Staff.
  • Detailed daily reporting of all Tooling operations in the last 24 hours to be completed to assist Project and Base Staff.
  • Ensuring that the subsea tooling and all its systems are in complete working order and in compliance with all technical requirements throughout the contract period. (NB: This may involve working in base to ensure that the system is acceptable prior to mobilisation).
  • Ensuring that the subsea tooling is checked before and after the dive in accordance with relevant pre and post dive check lists.
  • Organising the planned maintenance for the subsea tooling system and maintaining complete technical records and logs, including any authorised modifications and special fits.
  • Carrying out general operations team duties as required.
  • The jobholder must ensure that all team work activities and the methods used to execute that work comply with legislative requirements and company policies.
  • Any other duties as directed by Tooling / ROV Supervisor
  • The Tooling Technician shall actively comply with the Subsea 7 Competence Assurance Scheme
  • The Tooling Technician shall comply with the requirements of the Subsea 7 Global HSEQ Training Program.
