Seaway 7, the Renewables & Heavy Lifting business unit of Subsea 7, is a uniquely capable and experienced partner for the delivery of offshore wind farm projects as well as specialist heavy lifting and cable installation services. With combined expertise in project management, engineering, procurement, fabrication, heavy lifting and cable installation services, Seaway 7 delivers these services in a comprehensive array of contractual structures including EPCI, T&I and BoP (Balance of Plant), to our clients in the offshore Renewables and Oil & Gas sector.

Seaway 7 operates from 4 main offices:

  • Heavy Lifting (Zoetermeer, Netherlands)  

Transportation and installation of offshore structures

  • Offshore Cables (Leer, Germany)  

Installation of submarine cables & umbilicals, trenching and IMR related business

  • EPC (Aberdeen, UK) 

Delivery of EPC solutions for the Renewables sector

  • Integrated Solutions and Floating Wind (Paris, France)

Delivery of integrated T&I solutions for the Renewables sector and Floating Wind development

 

For our Leer office we are looking for a fulltime Senior Project Engineer to join our Engineering team

Senior Project Engineer (m/f/d) based in either of our locations in Germany, Aberdeen or Oslo

As a Senior Project Engineer you have an all-encompassing role to cover the project(s) from the design phase right through to execution offshore

Main areas of responsibilities:

  • Prepare project specific drawings, procedures (e.g. installation procedures, task risk assessment, work methods, etc.) for the projects and tenders
  • Preparing scopes for subcontracts and review and evaluate subcontracts
  • Review, prepare planning for project preparation and execution
  • Act as a senior counterpart for the Project Manager, Project Teams and other Stakeholders;
  • Guide Project Engineers with complex technical matters;
  • Operationally assist with project execution preparations/processes
  • Identify and arrange project equipment/materials requirements
  • Prepare and arrange for all administrative tasks on project base, as required
  • Possible participate in offshore jobs as part of the operation team in the function of Field Engineer

 

Preferred profile:

  • BSc or MSc degree in Civil, Ocean, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5-7 years relevant work experience with Offshore Wind Farms, specifically Submarine Cable Installation and foundation related cable installation works
  • Thorough knowledge of working methods, planning and risk analysis
  • Knowledge of standards and relevant rules and regulations for the offshore industry and installation projects
  • Fully conversant in English (verbally and in writing)
  • Good knowledge of MS Office suite, MS Project and AutoCAD
  • Resourceful and problem solving abilities
  • A team leader with practical approach and good communication skills
  • Social team player with hands-on attitude
  • Keen and analytical
